Donna Summer Musical on its way!

Another show you couldn't pay me to see.

These are only my opinions but: Jukebox musicals suck, Disco really sucks and Donna Summer .. well....

Bad Girl and Mean Girls all in one season. Too bad there can't be a Funny Girl.

I am looking forward to this. I hope that with the music they create a fun portrait of the disco era . How the music came to be, how the disco clubs emerged, how the gay fans supported her, how she had a cray cray religious moment and turned on her gay fans, how she came around ... etc.,.

I'll probably skip this one.

Where is EricMontreal? He would absolutely love the idea of a Donna Summer musical.

I mean, is there some backstory or conflict worth turning into a musical? Or is it just going to be like On Your Feet which was fun as a Gloria Estefan concert but not much more than that because there was either nothing to tell or they were afraid to put in anything unflattering?

This is phenomenal casting. Excited to have LaChance back on stage. DeBose is a great dancer, hopefully her profile rises even more from this.

She threw her two cents into the Great Comet Twitter race wars, which caused a bit of consternation. But she's a tremendous talent.
