Management reserves the right to relocate or remove any patron during the performance.
* Late Seating: As a member of the on-stage audience, you must arrive at the theatre early enough to be seated before the advertised curtain time. If you arrive later than the advertised curtain time, you may forfeit the right of admission, be moved to an alternate location or to standing room (all decisions are at the discretion of Management).

* Restrooms and Concessions: The ushers will direct you from the onstage seating area to the Front of the Theatre in order to access restrooms and concessions. Please note that Act One lasts One hour and Twenty Minutes and Act Two lasts approximately One hour.

Posted: 8/4/08 at 11:06amWow. Shouldn't on-stage seating be $41.50? Will anyone actually pay $76.50 or $116.50 to sit on stage? I think the price of these seats will go down...

Posted: 8/4/08 at 11:22amI do think that they will sell out these seats. Espeically with the nudity factor. Regular prices is asking a bit much, but there are a lot of good seats available right now

I think you just hit the nail on the head, Vegas. There will be tons of teenage girls who will pay that much in order to try to see Daniel Radcliffe up-close and personal - a little too personal...

Posted: 8/4/08 at 3:45pmDunno how they're going to do it with this production, but a friend of mine (whom saw EQUUS in London) says that the on-stage seating is actually on risers in this sort of black box elevated thing... so the view is that much crappier. From above/side/back. I'll pass.

RIDICULOUS pricing. We stopped at the box office today and walked out with front row seating.
For previews prices are lower...but sheesh!

Posted: 8/4/08 at 4:42pmJesus. I was hoping that those seats would be for rush or something, and I could've dealt with $30-$40 to watch the backs of people's heads, but $111? No thanks.

"For those fat, pimple faced fangirls, it's probably the closest they will ever get to a real, live penis, let alone the penis of a famous person."
Oh who ya kidding, that goes for most of the theater queens here too.

Posted: 8/4/08 at 5:18pmI think that people have the mindset that sitting onstage will give you a better view of the nudity. I understand that it's not set up that way but that is what people are going to think. I think the producers realize this and that is why they are charging full price for them. Keep in mind there are going to be people who are going to see the show just for the nudity.

Posted: 8/4/08 at 5:31pmI agree with you winston ... I think the producers are keeping the onstage seats at regular prices to discourage those who just want to be closer to the naked actors. They don't want those who only buy stage seats to Spring Awakening to also do the same for Equus. Also, cheaper stage seats tend to attract younger people who can't afford full price tickets, and with the sensation of and proximity to a naked Daniel Radcliff, they don't need to be deluged by screaming giddy fangirls (and boys) sitting on stage because they were able to get them for cheap.

For the original production of EQUUS on-stage seating was a mere $10.00. I sat theere many times!
I realize that times have changed, but the rpices for this production are absurd!

Well, the flood gates are now open. I would not advise anyone spending that kind of money to get "stage seats". It was new and exciting in 1975, but now it's just a ploy to gross $40,000.00 (approx) more per week for extra seats. IMHO this pricing for lousy seats is for suckers. But as PT Barnum said: "There's a .........(you know the rest).
10 minutes to get to the restrooms, and/or bar and back??? WTF!!??
This is in the realm of delusional thinking on the part of the House Mgmt., Telecharge, etc.
This seating is very similar to the stage seating for COPENHAGEN, about a decade ago. However, the target audience was totally different, and the patrons were for the most part well behaved. And it was a play re: nuclear fission....
It's gonna be a nightmare...just sayin'......

I was talking to my friend about the show. He is looking forward to seeing it because of Radcliffe being nude. I told him that at times I felt like I was the only person out there who wanted to see the play just because of the play itself. And that the nudity is not why I am going at all.
Also, I can't pass by the Broadhurst and see the marquee without thinking of the Onion article about the play.

It should be interesting to see how the on-stage seating sells.
I'm guessing the producers want to have all of those seats filled at every performance.

Yesterday, I tried for on-stage and also thought that $86 total to be too high for onstage-even row AA. I saw Equus in California and had front onstage seating, and it was a fabulous experience. I love the writing of this play, it kept me on the edge of my seat! Being a gay male, I'm also excited about David Radcliff although I've yet to see him in a single feature. Afterwards, I'm hoping to catch up on all the Harry Potter films to see what the excitement was about.
I'll stick with center orchestra aisle, thank you very much!

What the hell? The mods deleted my post because I starred out the "F" word? Yet they keep these sock puppets floating around?
Anyways, I said that I would love to go but ____ the price. That is outrageous.
