Posted: 4/9/08 at 9:52amDo you think Equus will sell out in AmEx pre sales? Does that happen?
#2re: EQUUS sell out?
Posted: 4/9/08 at 9:58amNo, only certain seats are set aside for presale at each performance.
Equus (11/8), Billy Elliot (11/8)

No don't worry, that won't happen. They can't sell all the tickets in an "exclusive" way.
Besides: it's running for 22 weeks...not only 8....PLENTY of seats to be had.
I LOVE this play. Cannot wait.

Does anyone know when tickets go on sale? I just want to make sure I get my hands on one
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu

Posted: 4/9/08 at 10:32amTickets go on sale this Saturday @ 9 for Amex cardholders and 4/26(or around then) to the general public.
#6re: EQUUS sell out?
Posted: 4/9/08 at 10:36amI believe the pre-sale is only Amex Gold. I have a regular Amex card, but I doubt it will work. I'll try though.

Posted: 4/9/08 at 10:44amThis Amex pre-sale, or the like, doesnt happen in West End theatre. How does it work basically- do you have to spend 1000s of $s each year on Amex to be able to buy tickets a few weeks prior to the public?

#14re: EQUUS sell out?
Posted: 4/9/08 at 12:21pmPre sale means you have to USE that specific credit card to buy tickets early.
#15re: EQUUS sell out?
Posted: 4/9/08 at 12:23pmAre they huge sales? It also means great publicity for Am Ex i guess!
#16re: EQUUS sell out?
Posted: 4/9/08 at 12:32pmI believe with the Amex Gold Presales, you only need the presale code, (which is the customer service number from the back of the card), but you CAN pay with a regular Amex card.

No discounts of the sort, my friends.
PRE-SALE amounts to FULL PRICE tickets always.

#19re: EQUUS sell out?

I just went on telecharge and it says this:
"Tickets will be on sale to American Express Cardholders only from April 12 @ 9am - April 25."
So I'd give it a shot on Saturday if you have an AMEX card.

Perhaps the poster meant that he is a fan of the actors, specifically Radcliffe, from Harry Potter, and would like to see him in other roles/ performances. I think Radcliffe is a talented actor, and should have a career after Harry Potter, and I am looking forward to seeing him in this, especially after reading his London reviews.

perhaps, but im one of those goofy people who takes unambiguous words at face value. :P
were my admiration primarily intended for the actor, i certainly would have made sure not to refer to him by the name of the famous fictional character he portrays. i'd even speculate that doing so might irk him ...
but, like i said, im goofy.
