So much for taking my parents to see Wicked in the next few months... Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is that Eden screaches everything she "sings." It's a VERY unpleasant sound. To those who like her, great for you. Just bummed for me.

I am pleased to see the new cast changes. Eden is fantastic and Derrick, while not the best Fiyero, is certainly a huge markup from Jared Botz who I was dreading would take over. Carol Kane does a great job too. Still, I will miss Shoshana, David, and Michelle (no announcement yet of her replacement? strange) and I hope they move on to better things. Rue, well...she did okay.

Congrats to Eden and Derrick!

I'm hoping Jenna and David follow suit to replace Michelle and Ben... that whole tour cast is great and very deserving of a NY stage!

The real question in my mind is who will replace them on the tour???

My casting spies have told me that Sebastian Arcelus (of Rent, Good Vibes) has been offered the role of Fiyero on the tour. Haven't heard anything about anyone else.

No David wasnt extending as far as I heard. Really, he needs to find a better role anyway. I would even grow bored with playing Fiyero after a year. I am surprised Derrick would want be willing to take over as well. Props to him I suppose.

I've had tickets for 1/11/05 for my birthday, I'm just glad we have a new Fiyero. It sounds like Eden won't disappoint either... so I'm content.

SirLiir - Derrick mentioned in a Q&A that he is married and expecting a child in Feb so it would make sense for him to want to be in one place.

He answered the Q&A for a site one of his fans made him so I'm assuming it's not a secret and OK to say. That's obviously personal info... but since he felt free to share it publicly it may answer why B'Way would be his preference.

I have seen the show twice. 1st with the original Broadway cast and then the tour in Denver. I said that twice was quite enough. But I have liked Eden since the debut of "Brooklyn" here in Denver and would gladly pay to see Wicked again just for her.
