On today’s episode of the Dancing with the Stars podcast, Elaine Hendrix revealed that, now that the season is over, her plans include some Broadway plans in the works, and the desire for more live performance opportunities. I would have to think that it has to be Chicago, no? Like a Velma, since she wants to do more dance…?
She is going to be doing Hello, Dolly! at OFC in Rochester at the beginning of the year.

It’s gotta be Chicago because there aren’t any other suitable roles out there for her right now. unless she has a belt for DBH or enough of a jazzy singing voice to be Persephone in HT - which I doubt.
Velma is far more dance heavy. Roxie is the go-to star casting role that has more room to be modified and tailored to the performer’s strengths.
Honestly, if they can get her and also Lisa Ann Walter as Mama, it would make my queer dreams come true.

I'm traveling a few hours to see her in this, but I had never heard of this regional theater until her casting announcement. They certainly seem to get some interesting "names" to appear in their productions (Garrett Clayton and Jodi Benson within the last few years). It looks to be a very small performing space in a strip mall plaza. Has anyone else heard of them or attended their productions before?

I’m only a little over an hour away and saw Jodi Benson in Gypsy and Kel Mitchell in Anything Goes. I thought the talent was just OK, and everything else is very community theatre. I am going for Elaine, and I am sure she will be lovely but I would keep your expectations in check for the overall production.
Here’s a glimpse of their “production” of WEST SIDE STORY last year. I have no words.

I live in the area and am very familiar with OFC Creations. They have grown quite a bit over the years and recently started to bring in Equity actors. Garret Clayton starred in Rocky Horror a few years ago and is currently back in town playing the Grinch. Here's a link to their full season, including casting info.

It could be a play; I saw her in Steel Magnolias a few years ago.
