I love Audra and adored her performance in LADY DAY, but this is Sarah Paulson's to lose (deservedly so).

More importantly...

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND was nominated for 3 awards (Yay musicals!!!!)

... and

Alan Menken was nominated for original song again... he's becoming the Susan Lucci of the Emmy original song category and he wants that EGOT sooooo bad... I wonder if he can beat Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and complete the EGOT...

on a completely un-Broadway-related topic... I still can't believe that THE WALKING DEAD gets so little love when it's the best show on TV... and ALSO... yay for MR. ROBOT which is amazing and also filmed in NYC with tons of awesome Broadway actors :)

Alan Menken has only been nominated for an Emmy once before.

Does anyone know what the cutoff date for the nominations were? Would broadwayhd's live streaming of She Loves Me have been eligible for nomination had it been filmed earlier?

In order for SHE LOVES ME to have been able to qualify for any 2016 Emmy Award consideration it had to have aired (streamed) between June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016.

Congrats on all the ''Grease'' wins, but how did Zach Woodlee, who choreographed all the huge dances, NOT get an Emmy nomination? The scope of what he had to do is so far and above doing, say, three numbers from the various dance-competition shows.

I believe Deadline.com also misreported Sat. night that Diane Warren and Lady Gaga both won an Emmy for ''Til It Happens to You'' from ''The Hunting Ground.'' In fact, only Warren won. According to the Emmy rules, Lady Gaga hadn't participated enough in the creation of the song, so she wasn't eligible. (As opposed to the Oscars and Grammys, where both were eligible.)
