Do you think I'd get rush if I stopped over at 5PM on Wednesday for the 8PM show?
Or should I just TDF

Posted: 1/19/13 at 8:18pmUnfortunately I do not think you will get a ticket. I have tried getting a ticket on a whim that late, and was out of luck. That is especially popular because it maybe the last time people can rush the show to see Cristina. This is assuming they dont have rush on closing day. TDF it, it is worth it. From what ive heard a lot of TDF are in the orchestra! Ive sat in the last row of the orch via TKTS and then the front row via Rush, and both experiences were great!

Posted: 1/20/13 at 7:51pmI'm going to attempt rush tomorrow morning (Monday). I assume 830 will be early enough?

The TDF Evita tickets are all gone and they were just available an hour ago.

Posted: 1/20/13 at 8:38pmYou should be fine, but tomorrow is Max Von Essens last performance as Che so a lot of hardcore Evita fans will be there!

Posted: 1/20/13 at 8:43pm^ Yeah, I doubt that. Most the "hardcore Evita" fans are really "hardcore Ricky" fans. They don't care when Ricky's not in the show.

Posted: 1/21/13 at 1:29amI've read reports online from hardcore Elena fans who do well with rush and have seen the show twenty times or more; they're all college students. They've been obsessing lately with how to commemorate the final performance. You may do well with rush on Max's night, though, because the Elena fans are dedicated but sadly in the minority.

I substitute usher at the Marquis, and I have a friend who works on the show, so I have been around all of the Evita fans. They are an interesting group.
I can't believe the range of people who cry over any sort of acknowledgment from Ricky. I think every age group and gender is represented.
Most of Elena's obsessive fans are really young (like 14-16). There are, like, three college students. They are pretty self aware and have a sense of humor about the situation. Elena seems to gravitate towards them to escape the crazier ones at the stage door. It's funny to watch.
And there are a couple of repeat offenders who come for Rachel Potter and Max.

Posted: 1/21/13 at 1:56pmI got in line at 8:45ish this morning and was about 12 people back. I had no problem getting tickets. The first person was there at 7am. I am looking forward to seeing Max as Che since I've already seen Ricky twice.

Posted: 1/21/13 at 4:36pmAt least you'll have the benefit of two shows Wednesday. My humble suggestion is arrive before 8:30.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 1:47amTDF has more tickets available for DeCicco's performance on Wednesday and also for Thursday night's performance. I snagged a Wednesday night one. It's only $11 more and now I don't have to wait in the cold.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 11:08amRushed this morning (Tuesday) and arrived at 9:15. I believe I was 15th in line. By 10, the line doubled, and it seemed like most got a ticket! My seat is right orch, row L, all the way to the side. Pretty good seat for $38! Was going to line up earlier but slept in due to the snow haha.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 5:54pmWatch out for the fan girls-they are out in full force this week. I sat near a cluster last night that have pet names for Elena. When a pre-show announcement came across to note an understudy they freaked thinking Elena was out and quoted the lyrics "we wouldn't mind seeing her at Herrod's, but behind the jewelry counter not in front" in regards to Christina DeCicco.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 6:54pm^ Just be grateful that they weren't standing behind you in line... I heard it for 2 hours...
Evita Rush#45
Posted: 1/22/13 at 7:01pm^Noted......I'm a big fan of the show, don't get me wrong, but some of these people take it to "a place".

Posted: 1/22/13 at 7:01pmI heard similar comments like this when I saw Christina as Eva. It was during Elena's vacation though so clearly they were there by choice. People are so silly.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 7:20pmI'm a big fan of the show too- minus Ricky and Elena, but I by no means take it to that level.

Posted: 1/22/13 at 7:25pmIs anybody here doing the final show?
Evita Rush#49
Posted: 1/22/13 at 7:31pmI am 99.9% sure they will not be having rush for closing. They don't have many seats left and, what happened last Saturday, they just won't have a rush for the evening. The matinee, on the other hand, has a lot of seats opened.
