Examples of extraordinary romantic chemistry on Broadway

Kelli O'Hara opposite Szot and Pasquale in South Pacific and Bridges were both what came to my mind as well!

For some reason, I'm also reminded of Sierra Boggess and Norm Lewis in Phantom. I'm not sure if they qualify as "chemistry" but I remember the duo were just absolutely electric.

It's true that O'Hara and many - arguably all - of her leading men have made magic together. Perhaps the most alchemical was with Josh Radnor in the Roundabout concert of SHE LOVES ME. As much as I liked last season's revival and enjoyed Levi and Benanti in it, I still wish it could have been Radnor and O'Hara.

First thing that popped into my head: Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes in Bonnie and Clyde. Their voices are marvelous together.

I also agree with Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi in She Loves Me (I also thought Zachary Levi and Krista Rodriguez had great chemistry in First Date), and Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale in Bridges of Madison County.

I love the subtle chemistry in a really good performance between Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady and between Anna and the King in The King and I. I also love the song Do You Love Me in Fiddler on the Roof when Tevya and Golda dare to consider the question of whether they love one another and discover that they do.

I want to agree warmly with Marin Mazzie and Daniel Dae Kim in THE KING AND I. A sense of tremendous mutual admiration and amusement with just the right note of sexual tension. Two performers who create real, three-dimensional people so that their feelings seem genuine and unforced.
