The show has a remarkable score with a few classics that some people under 80 actually know.
If all the ingredients are put together correctly, it could pay off.
But revivals are always iffy, you get HAIR or GUYS AND DOLLS!
I agree that the use of any exposure of Cheyenne on a poster would attract attention whether people know his name or not.
I can't imagine the poster/window card being just what we're seeing here. There will hopefully be some pictures of the cast with there names and such...
I like it. It brings a sort of dated show and updates it a little. The font is very "urban outfitters chic." I like it, but I'm sure it will change a little, but they're going in the right direction. Way better than the current St. James tenant's design.
And who knows? Obviously there was reason for reviving it or else they wouldn't do it. I'm excited to see it. i didn't get to see it at City Center, so I'll def check it out. It could do well, who knows?
I like it too. I t appealed to me immediately for some reason. I think that fact that it's not what one would expect (no literal rainbow arch with a leprechan etc). I think it is very asetetically pleasing.
http://www.finiansonbroadway.com/ the website looks quite nice!! :)
I think it looks better on the website, tbh. it's definitely very eye catching!
After seeing the website design, I like the logo more. But at the same time, I don't think it accurately represents the show.
its very modern looking, like a poster for a movie with Ellen Page and Greg Kinear in it or seomthing!! Lol.
Dick, you should never base your opinion of a show on the movie version, and certainly not on the turdulicious pile that Coppola generated based on Finian's Rainbow.
I, too, like the logo more after seeing it on the website. And I'm excited it's starting earlier than I thought (I had assumed that the transfer was being planned for the fall, not the summer). Hopefully I can catch this in August.
I happen to love the movie version of Finian's Rainbow. I have incredibly questionable taste.
While I was "eh" about what rOcKS posted what's on the website is kind of appealling. The name looks bettered centered than on the bottom.
And I think it looks like grass rather than straws
givesmevoice, we all make mistakes. You, me, and Francis Ford Coppola. Astaire warbling is all that is good in the movie. (I read once that he considered doing the role onstage. I would have cut off my fingers to see that.)

Uh, sorry to be a wet blanket thrower, but it isn't written in stone that Cheyenne will be in the Broadway version. He's at the point of his career where he can weigh his options and there are several other projects under consideration. I'm not saying he WONT, but nothing's been finalized.
I love it more and more every time I see it.
I am excited about the revival I just hope its not the Pal Joey of next season.
I think it will look great up on the marquee! I'm so excited to see this! For some reason, I just think I'm going to love this show.
When is the first preview and can it get here now!
Oooo... I want to get lost in the Crayola forest!
I hope this reflects the design of the show.
It would be neat if the rainbow vines make their way to the show curtain.
I love it. It's different, creative, and certainly eye catching.
Look at the posters for BE, N2N, Shrek, WSS, and even Hair. They're all kind of forgettable.
