That's nice. It's also selling discounted tickets via TDF and TKTS and other sources. As always, the number of people in a theatre does not indicate financial success, as we don't know how much each person is paying...

whatever2 said: "In the Beforetimes, work and life got me back to the city, but ... the hotels. I still manage to find decent airfares, but the hotel rates defy logic. And unless it's a Courtyard or a Hampton (i.e., something mid- to low-end), the property adds a "resort fee" or "amenity fee" to the quoted rate -- generally for services that have not been restored since the pandemic scuttled them.

Marriott Marquis was 200+ in July. No food service, restaurant, or bar. By Oct, rates jumped to 500+ and stayed there. They now have full meal service and bar. Manager told me the conventions were going strong so it doesn't have to rely on tourists.  I go there pre-show quite often to chill in lobby. Int has been nuts crowded so no need to chop price unfortunately.

The FORBES article stated that 3 shows announced an early closing. Other than Chicken/Biscuit, what are other 2?  It doesn't say.  "Three have already announced months-early closing notices, while others are bleeding out at different rates. "
