Wow, and I thought some of our Tracy's were too thin to play the fat girl. And wow...big blonde and beautiful doesn't work with a woman in a fat suit. It's actually offensive and sort goes against the theme of the show. Couldn't they find a talented bigger woman?

i kinda like how there's a huge TV as a prop and you can see the actors behind it like you were watching them on TV... looked cool

WOW...thanks for posting that, it was certainly interesting!
I had to laugh at "Welcome to the 60's" that was great, I love the Finnish lyrics! Especially how the "oh oh oh's" fit in there! Haha. The bears are a great touch, too.
Their Edna really is very scary though, it seems like the man isn't even trying to be a woman at all!

That was funny !! Though, from what i read here I was expecting it to be unrecognizably different. Link's costumes were almost the same ! Though Edna looks like Javert and Tracy looks older than Edna !!! LOL

I like the television too, but not Motormouth and not Tracy. In some of the closeups she actually had wrinkles, but she still seemed very talented.

Overall, that was very amusing in a very scary way.

The bears look like "Dancing Bear" from the old CAPTAIN KANGAROO! Funky but Chic!

The Finnish version is genius, but I have a hunch that the most fabulous foreign production of HAIRSPRAY is gonna be the one from Japan (when it eventually gets there).
