i have so many...
- Sheriff Earl speaks. ("and i'm going to kiss you...hard." i practically pee myself every time.)
- Dean gets off the bus. (is it possible to NOT cry??)
- Sylvia sings to Jim. (again, is it possible to NOT cry??)
- Dennis agrees to let Natalie be Chad's sidekick. (i want to run up onstage and hug him. he's such a sweetheart.)
- ONE cow passes by during "Now or Never" (is there really a place in the country where there is A cow in the pasture, and no more?? lolol)
and my least favorite? when the biker-angels drop down during "If I Can Dream". they're such eyesores, especially in such a beautiful, moving song.
what are your favorite/least favorite moments???

My favorite moment was the end.
My favorite song in the show is "Come On Everybody," but I have to agree and say I was relieved when the show was over.
is it SO MUCH TO ASK to have ONE thread WITHOUT negativity???? if you didn't like the show, then post on another thread. please don't bring down what i was hoping to make a pleasant discussion by FANS of the show, not bitter posters who have nothing better to do then jump on someone else's happiness and beat it down.

Your post asks for favorite/non favorite moments. I posted my favorite. Get over it.
And if you didn't want negativity, why ask for least favorite moment?

Anytime Mark Price (Dennis) is on stage, he's the best part of the show for me
I can't remember the exact name of the song, I think "Lovin' My Baby" (the same one they performed on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I liked that number the best, though I didn't like the show. Not to be too negative, I'll end with something positive: Cheyenne and Jenn did a wonderful job.
But you also asked what people didn't like about the show, so you were setting yourself up for negative feedback.
There are so many...hmm...obviously all of the "One Night With You"s and I laugh hysterically everytime Chad says, "I, too, know what it's like to love someone the world doesn't accept. How ya doin', Ed?" (or however that line goes). Song wise, definitley "Heartbreak Hotel", "C'mon, Everybody", "Can't Help Falling In Love", "Let Yourself Go", and "Power of My Love".
I actually enjoyed GV more than ASU. I know, that is very sad...but true. Mamma Mia is the best jukebox musical though. Saw that for the first time this past Friday (8/12) and LOVED it. Carolee Carmello was awesome!
WithoutaTrace, stop being so positive about Mamma Mia!!
hahaha. Lennon sucked.

My favorite is definitely "C'mon Everybody". While the rest of the show is good, it never quite tops that early song.
I also like the whole bus sequence with Nikki and Curtis and John Jellison's big moment at the end.
My least favorite (wait, let me brace myself for rotten tomoatoes) is Alix Korey's performance. I like her in small doses but she wears thin after her first scene. Her amazing belt is initially impressive, but it's so piercing that I get tired of it quickly. I would like to see Karen Murphy's take on the Mayor. Saw her in Forbidden Broadway years ago and man does she have some pipes.
I wondered how Karen Murphy was in "42nd Street". Did anyone see her?
Spolier!!
I love when Jenn goes "even miss sandra fell for ed" and Leah does this laugh of embarassment haha.
Also when Dennis comes out with his black jacket and blue suedes and then with the hat. hahaah
My favorites are the instrumental part in C'mon Everybody where everyone is just dancing, when everyone is yelling out names in Can't Help Falling in Love, and Burning Love.
I love almost every moment of the show, though. This is hard!

well, i'm obsessed with the whole show but the "one night with you" outbursts are hysterical and when "dean" finds out "he's a black man" "YESSSSSSS!"
I also love "cant help falling in love" and "let yourself go" when the statues come to life aah too many oh yeah and mayor matilda's daydream of "jailhouse rock" jeeze i love the whole show but i could live without the 'flying bikers'

"- Dean gets off the bus. (is it possible to NOT cry??)"
Oh please...this show is so predictable and lame that all its plot twists were unravelled in Nostradamus' quatrains.
My favorite musical number is Jailhouse rock. I LOVE the girl/ boy dance breaks. It's so much fun!

fosse, the show isnt about being unpredictable, its meant for you to just have fun and not be so critical! if anyone has read Twelfth Night, you can tell what will happen in the end, but that is a small part of the show everything from beginning to end is a great time, so dont be so critical!
I can only have one favorite moment? I love the whole show!
After seeing it so much though, my favorite thing is to sit up close and just watch the faces of the individual performers. Nikki has great facial expressions and plays with Curtis the entire show, Jenn is just amazing, Cheyenne is so fun to watch, everyone just does a fantastic job. I like seeing the differences between shows, and if there are mistakes or something goes wrong, seeing how the cast improvises.

fosse, i didn't say what are the most unpredictable plot twists of ASU, i said what are your favorite moments, here are mine. and you seem a bit bitter. perhaps if you stopped being so cold and allowed yourself to truly become part of the show, you could feel what i feel every time the bus rides offstage and then dean runs upstage and says "lorraine!" i've seen the show seven times, and i knew seven times that dean would come back. but watching that bus pull away just chokes me up, and when he comes rushing back to lorraine, i can't help but be a bit emotional. you don't have to cry; you don't even have to feel sad. but don't discount the moment solely on its predictability, because every show has at least one *moment* that moves the audience (either to laugh, cry, cheer, etc.) but can be seen from a mile away. is it silly? yes. is it predictable? yes. but is it moving? yes.
My Favorite Moments are Cmon everybody and can't help falling in love. My least favorite are Jailhouse Rock and the flying motorcylces....those two things alone, especially being so close to each other in the show, almost ruin a perfectly enjoyable show (I'm seeing it again on Saturday so we'll see if it won't be quite as bad if I know they're coming)
