"Look I made a hat... where there never was a hat." "Think of how I adore you, think of how much you love me. If I were perfect for you, wouldn't you tire of me?" "Somebody, crowd me with love. Somebody, force me to care. Somebody, make me come through, I'll always be there, as frightened as you, to help us survive. Being alive. Being alive. Being alive!" "There are worse things than staring at the water as you're posing for a picture after sleeping on the ferry after getting up at seven to come over to an island in the middle of a river half an hour from the city on a Sunday!"

Geoffrey Rush in Exit the King.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Vanessa Redgrave in Long Day's Journey Into Night
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I really loved Pauline Collins in Shirley Valentine. Don't know if it's my eternal favorite, but it's the first one that comes to mind right away, right now.

I haven't seen many shows on Broadway, three to be exact, but several on national tours.

Emily Skinner in Chicago's Billy Elliot
Blake Bashoff in Broadway's Spring Awakening

A three-way tie (in no particular order):
-Patti LuPone in GYPSY
-Douglas Hodge in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES
-Raul Esparza in COMPANY

All three reduced me to a hysterical, sobbing MESS!!!
