Love Kahn's. Her "I'm not well" is wonderful!

Beth Howland set the bar pretty high on this one,
but Veanne Cox also hit it out of the park!

Not sure which is my absolute favorite, but I do love Carol Burnett's performance in Putting it Together even though she slowed it down a little.

Beth Howland, but Katie Finneran certainly breathed new life into the number. She was hysterical!

Beth Howland, even if I've heard that she had some trouble with the song live--but of course nails it on the cast album.
While I find a lot of the Roundabout recording kinda so so, I agree that Cox is brilliant on it.

No love for Heather Laws?
Man-- between the tempo, articulation, and comedic timing; she's definitely my favorite!

If you've never heard it in Portuguese, this woman from the Brazilian cast more than nails it--and at triple the tempo:

I pretty much love all of the interpretations of this brilliant song, but I think my favourite has to be:

I adored Katie Fineran's version when I saw the movie and perhaps after seeing it again on DVD, her performance may change things, but, IMHO
Beth Howland - for the best "straight" version
Madeline Kahn - for a perfect demonstration of why we loved Madeline Kahn

That Brazilian Amy is FIERCE!
I love her growl.
I found Heather Laws rather poor and too obvious in her delivery.

I prefer The Nightmare Trio's version - it's a hidden track on The Stephen Sondheim Album - the only version I ever listen to :)

Heather Laws doing all three parts by herself.
I also really dig the Brazilian recording of the song. I remember liking Katie Finneran's when I watched it, but thinking about it now, I can't remember what it was that I liked.
A work of art is an invitation to love.

Sophie Thompson from the Donmor cast. Her whole interpretation of Amy is wonderful, but her accent is kid of strange at times.

I love Heather Laws' version, but I also love her whole performance and that whole production, which is an unpopular opinion.
But Veanne Cox nails it to the ground.

I love Alice Ripley's version from the Kennedy Center.

Madeline Kahn to be was the best. IMHO
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Veanne Cox does all 3 parts on the recent Kritzerland concert release, too.
I listen to Howland's most often. Cox is close behind, though. I've never really enjoyed Kahn's rendition (as much as I adore her).
I was obsessed with the Brazillian Amy for a while. Need to listen to it again!
