and... I'd love to see someone from Choir Boy take the fifth slot. I was partial to John Clay III's quiet but nuanced performance, but I loved the whole play so would be happy with any of them.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really liked Zachary Quinto in Boys In The Band, but I think if anyone Robin de Jesus will get the nod for that show. I also really liked Tom Glynn-Carney and Fra Fee in The Ferryman, both terrific performances.
It’s a strange category, as it often is.
RE: Choir Boy - I liked John Clay III a lot too, and I would not be disappointed to see him get in. But if I had to pick one supporting actor from that show, I’d definitely go with Caleb Eberhardt, who I thought delivered a fascinating, layered performance.
Right now, I’m predicting these nominees (though most of them would not be my personal picks):
Bertie Carvel
Tom Glynn-Carney
Tony Goldwyn
Brandon Uranowitz
Benjamin Walker
I HOPE the nominations go to different people (out of that group above, I haven’t seen Carvel yet, and the only other one that would really be my pick would be Glynn Carney)
If it were up to me (again, having not yet seen Carvel), I would throw in Eberhardt, Pedro Pascal, Michael Cera (who I thought did a great job playing against type in a bizarre but hilarious role), John Douglas Thompson, or maybe one of the other Ferryman guys.

My Predictions are:
Bertie Carvel (Ink)
Michael Cera (The Waverly Gallery)
Tom Glynn-Carney (The Ferryman)
Andrew Rannells (The Boys in the Band)
Brandon Uranowitz (Burn This)
Did THE BOYS IN THE BAND actually invite Tony voters? I know there is a lot of buzz around De Jesus, but the lower awards bodies were omitted from performances and so the show wasn’t considered. I wonder if they didn’t invite the Tony nominator either
Why no love for Austin Pendelton in "Choir Boy?" I thought he gave the most natural performance I've seen, like, ever. It felt like he just walked in off the street and walked into the scene. It was so nuanced and perfect. It's not super showy, but man, that was just a really great performance. Better than anything I've seen so far.
I think one of the men from THE BOYS IN THE BAND will get in.

I don’t think they’ll miss this chance to give Dakin Matthews a nomination.
Justin Edwards
Bertie Carvel
Tom Glenn Carney

Honestly Idk why there isn’t more buzz around this category it’s reslly pretty stacked tbh. Plus, I feel it’s kind of wide open as to who will win/get nominated. Exciting stuff! Tony’s should be really fun this year

my guess re nominations:
Bertie Carvel, INK
Brandon Uranowitz, BURN THIS
Benjamin Walker, ALL MY SONS
Gideon Glick and/or Gbenga Akkinabe, TKAM
John Douglas Thompson, KING LEAR
I thought the acting in the Ferryman was fantastic across the board, making it hard to single anyone out. And while I think both Glick and Akinabe did beautiful work in a beautiful play, I think John Douglas Thompson is so (rightfully) beloved, and one of the few universally praised players in Lear. Ultimately, I think Carvel will win, although I was utterly bored by INK and Carvel's performance. I'd give this to Benjamin Walker, happily.

Tony voters WERE invited to ''The Boys in the Band.''
And I'm rooting for Benjamin Walker to get a Tony nomination.
Should've gotten one for ''American Psycho.''

I just saw Benjamin Walker in all my sons, his performance blew me away. In my opinion he’s the front runner.
