Anyone else going to try to swing the 6p Maybe Happy Ending (Helen's last show) and the 8p Jane Eyre at Lincoln Center on February 15th?
I know it's crazy and likely not really doable but I'm going to try! Thankfully, my seat for Jane Eyre is on the side of the 3rd tier and kind of a single seat... they should be able to seat me, even late, without disturbing anyone!

Straight up you will not make it. It’s a Sunday so service is already more infrequent. MHE is 1:45 and starts late. By 8, you probably be just on the sidewalk unless you leave well before the end of the show and take an Uber.

Also, if it's her final show, there will likely be longer applause breaks, plus speeches at the end. If you're planning to stay for that, you won't even be on the street by 8 p.m. most likely.

Even at the end of a row, you will disturb people. Anyone in eyeline will be taken out of the experience because you have been inconsiderate and are late and you've taken them out of whatever moment it is. You know full well that you can't make up but you're gonna choose to do this anyway in the inconvenience other people? Part of life is knowing that you can't be in two places at once. Frankly, I find your decision to doing both while knowing full well you will be late to the latter to be rude and selfish. 🤷♂️ sorry not sorry. Maybe I'm just a grump.

You must be fun at parties.
Ever been invited to one?

I hear you… I’m a frequent theater goer and do dislike when folks are v distracting. I know this is a bit ridiculous which is probably why I posted. I will do my best to be as unobtrusive as possible. For Jane Eyre I actually have the furthest back chair on one side of the 3rd tier of Geffen Hall where there are single seats in a vertical row. I do think I’ll be able to quietly take that spot without causing a major nuisance.

Oh, please. Choosing to go late to a show is rude and disruptive. Period.
by the way, you're regularly nasty and condescending on here, so I would suspect it's you who needs the invitations, sweetie darling.

Were you able to do both?
I went to MHE at 6pm but left after hearing Helen's song "How to be not alone". I comfortably made it to Lincoln Center by 7:50pm.
What did you think of the Jane Eyre concert? I enjoyed it and it didn't seem like a concert at all! Ramin memorized his lines and so did Erika. The only time I felt like someone was reading lines during "slip of a girl" sung by Mrs Fairfax. It's so rare to see a production of Jane Eyre in NYC and I'm glad I got to see this one.

A good friend saw it and called me after, raving about it. He said the same thing, that it didn't seem like a concert at all. He was impressed with what sounded like a choir behind the orchestra. He is close with someone who was close with the Broadway production and asked if this may show up back on Broadway and was told that there are no plans. This was a one off. He loved Ramin.
