I haven't seen the show yet, but shouldn't Groundhog Day get lauded for choreography as well? The staging has been raved about multiple times, and in my experience, those go quite hand in hand depending on the piece.

What about Indecent? Since there are now 5 slots for Best Choreography, a play could sneak into it like Curious Incident did two years ago.

Strangely, that was the year that Warren Carlyle was left out for On the Twentieth Century. Poor Warren Carlyle, lol.
I suppose this is a possibility, but I think there are too many musicals with strong choreography this year. I mostly agree with the list Broadway Concierge wrote, but I think Groundhog Day will get in over Great Comet in this category.

It's outrageous that Warren Carlyle won't be eligible for DOLLY! He didn't replicate Gower's dances: he re-invented them!

after seeing their today show performance this morning, it's pretty clear how exciting the Great Comet choreography is. Would be cool for them to get a nod. The tap number and staging is also pretty exciting in Groundhog Day, though

I haven't seen this production of Six Degrees, but I was surprised John Benjamin Hickey was petitioned for featured. I always thought of Flan as a leading role, although I understand why they wouldn't want him competing with Hawkins who has a better chance.
