Excited for Keala Settle -- she was fantastic in Hands on a Hardbody. Disappointed though since this probably means she won't transfer with Sideshow from LaJolla to DC!
But seriously, if they were going to bring anyone over from the UK, they should have brought Wendy Ferguson. She currently steals the show, as Madame Thénardier, every night in the current London cast of the original version. (As she did as Carlotta in the Phantom 25th performance)
I saw Jason Forbasch in Miss Saigon at Northshore and in his bio he said he'd be doing Les Miz on Broadway. He played Enjorales on tour. I guess he won't be in that part.
Cliff Saunders also steals the show in the Toronto Production with Lisa Horner as Mme. T. He's got incredible comedic timing! You just love to hate him.
RippedMan- Jason Forbach is understudying Enjolras on Broadway, and regularly playing Feuilly as LIzzieCurry already said.
Don't know much about this group, but congrats to them! I'll make the obligatory mention about Enjolras, but only because I've only ever seen one Enjolras (Forbach) who wasn't blond like in the book. But, hey, as long as he can sing the part, works for me! Looking forward to how this production turns out.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
Love Keala, still think she shoulda won the Tony. That said, don't mourn her loss in SideShow, her talent is largely wasted in the show as presently structured. You get just enough of her (short snippets in two numbers where she gets to let loose) to feel cheated that you didn't get more. Have seen SideShow twice in the last week, both times my friends (neither of whom saw Hardbody) mentioned that with no prompting from me. Excited for her in this showcase cast. Even if there's this: “'Ironically, I have never seen a production of the show,' Settle told Broadway.com as news of her Les Miz casting was announced." Mistress of the House! Keala Settle on Going ‘Balls to the Wall’ With Pals Will Swenson & Caissie Levy in Les Miserables
Anyone know if they have yet cast the kids for the show? Now that she is leaving Matilda, I would personally vote for Sophia Gennusa as young Cosette. She would be perfect...
Preempting the black Enjolras outrage, should there be one, I present Thomas Alexandre-Dumas (1762-1806), a general-in-chief of the Army of the French Republic, and yes, a man of color (the son of a French noblewoman and his black slave); and the father and grandfather of two world famous novelists who were contemporaries of Hugo: Alexandre Dumas pere and Alexandre Dumas fils.
