Thanks...that has been the general consensus around here...I still have some things to work out-- days that we are visiting family and stuff, and we hope to see at least 2 or 3 shows while we are in the city....

I would probably have to ask my mom what the first show I saw on bway was since she used to like to bring me to all sorts of theatre events when I was little but the first one I remember seeing was Phantom of the Opera.

My first Broadway show was Phantom in 2004. That was less than three years ago. In those three years, I've seen 27 shows 40 times, not counting tours or off-Broadway.
I don't remember my first show ever. But it was probably an amateur/community theater/high school production.

Rent, when I turned 16. I've seen 17 more Broadway shows (some of them multiple times) since then.
I think my first show ever was a community production of Snow White when I was 5 or so.

'Crazy for You' with Harry Groener and Jodi Benson (the film voice of Ariel in 'The Little Mermaid') in '93. It was awesome, they were awesome, the ensemble was awesome. I distinctly remember we got to meet a couple of cast members after the show, and Jodi Benson ran through and said Hi, but she had to run because she was recording the Little Mermaid cartoon early in the morning.

The first show I actually saw on Broadway (as opposed to touring or ametuer production) was Deathtrap. We had a choice between that and Barnum, I think. Deathtrap was wonderful!

My first trip to NYC, I saw The Goodbye Girl, Will Rogers Follies, Lost in Yonkers, and Jeffrey. Can't remember which one I technically saw first, but I loved all of them, mostly because I was so thrilled to finally be seeing Broadway (and Off-Broadway) shows.

I saw the Lion King in Toronto at on point, and a lot of national tours, but my first BROADWAY show was Rent on my senior trip last year.

The first Broadway show I saw was the 1972 revival of Man of La Mancha with Richard Kiley. I was 8 and it launched my love affair with the theatre. Thanks mom!

I plea the fifth on the grounds that I didn't like it that much, was first because it was the first tickets I bought, and it was Disney.
If anyone asks, it was Grey Gardens.
