What was the first Broadway cast album you ever heard in its entirety? The first one I heard was Wicked
This thread is going to make me feel old.
I think mine was Camelot or Bye Bye Birdie.
Mine was also Wicked.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, original London cast recording. It's what got me interested in musical theater as a kid. Updated On: 12/9/18 at 04:18 PM
Probably HAIRSPRAY.
First one I ever bought on CD and listened entirely was WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF THE VERGE BREAKDOWN
The MSG cast of The Wizard of Oz.

Another for Wicked...so many times... I went through all of my studying for my final year 12 exams (that determine where you go to uni and what you’ll study) listening to Wicked on a loop.
Either Two by Two or the The Rothschilds - both from ny parent's collection

I own at least 50 cast recordings if not more. I have never listened to the first song much less the entirety. I buy them as a souvenir of the show. (crazy...I know)

And they did not distract you?
I'm an 80s child, so it was the OBC of Les Miserables while sitting in the backseat of my parents' Pontiac Bonneville on road trips.
Mine was Wicked for full album, although I'd heard individual songs from other shows long before that.

technically, it was wicked for me but if we’re talking about cast albums i listened to out of my own volition, then it was thoroughly modern millie.
