WW, you are sucking the money out of my wallet!
And I am praying very hard for no rain on the 21st, as I can't get to NYC on the 28th!
Then again, in the last 3-4 years I've gone I remember it raining for all of about 5 minutes once.

Posted: 9/13/08 at 3:31amForgive me if this has already been discussed in this thread, but it's 3:30 in the morning and I don't feel like reading...does the general layout of the tables remain the same from year to year? Is there a certain table/group of tables that specializes in memorabilia from old shows (i.e. older than a decade or two)?
re: Flea Market 2008#177
Posted: 9/13/08 at 6:28amI have only been to one year but I think they move around a little... But the auction and the signings stay the same.

Weather.com is currently showing a "Few Showers" with a 30% chance of precipitation in the forecast for Sunday. That makes me nervous...

On a side note, rain prediction more than 3-5 days in the future is almost worthless.

Posted: 9/13/08 at 4:30pmThanks DCR...I guess the thrust of my question was more about how many tables are devoted to "older" memorabilia, and where they might be found. Anyone...?
re: Flea Market 2008#183
Posted: 9/13/08 at 7:39pmOlder memorabilia will be scattered throughout the tables---some tables will have older Playbills, etc., other tables may have stuff from someone's attic. What tyoe of stuff are you looking for?

Hey everybody.
The Celebrity table list has been updated.
Among the changes:
The [title of show] cast, Tony Roberts has been added from 1-1:50
Bailey Hanks has been moved to 11-11:50
Merle Dandridge, Christopher Jackson, Madeline Martin, Alli Mauzey added to 12-12:50
Harriet Harris added from 2-2:50
Julia Murney added from 3-3:50
I am happy about these additions, but bummed that Kathryn Hahn is not on the list anymore.

Posted: 9/15/08 at 8:35pmThanks FeelingElectric for the update on the flea market. I checked the website and didn't see any changes. Are posted on another web site. Thank You

Ready for more good news:
Sunday's forecast for NYC is partly cloudy skies, a 20% chance of rain and 76 degrees.
It looks like the flea market is indeed on.

Thanks for posting the updates---I've been without power since 8:30pm Sunday (courtesy of Ike's winds) and it's driving me nuts!
I'm fortunate in that my boss opened up our former office so I (and my co-wrokers who also are without power) can work---and check email! But I can't access BC/EFA table or auction listings!

Posted: 9/16/08 at 11:47amI'm still not thrilled with the list. Where are the staples? Stokes, Bernadette Peters, Bebe Neuwirth? Bebe goes every year! Usually there's at least 1-2 people I'm dying to see, not so much this year.
re: Flea Market 2008#190
Posted: 9/16/08 at 11:55amI just looked at the list and I think Norm Lewis and Marian Seldes were new if I'm not mistaken.
re: Flea Market 2008#191
Posted: 9/16/08 at 12:56pmMarian Seldes has been there before, if I remember correctly---I'm caffeine deprived!

I think Norm was there before but I'm hyped up on Claritan so I could be wrong.
Didn't Brian Stokes Mitchell have his own table last year? Perhaps that will be the case again.

The rain in Maine stays mainly in Maine

I'm thrilled that the forcast is looking good, and I'm pleased with the additions to the celebrity table. I'm so excited!
On another note, does anyone think I will be able to get a picture with all 5 members of the [tos] family (in one photo)? I'm willing to pay a little bit more than the necessary $40 dollars.

I am willing to bet that's what they have in mind, BroadwayGuy12. I definitely want that too.
Actually it's not 5 members of [title of show] at the table that hour, but six (Jeff, Hunter, Heidi, Susan, Larry, and director Michael Berresse).

Thanks DCR...I guess the thrust of my question was more about how many tables are devoted to "older" memorabilia, and where they might be found. Anyone...?
What I saw last year was that the older stuff was mostly towards 8th avenue.

Favor to ask of anyone going (can't afford airfare this year). I'm trying to find someone who could pick up a copy of the ABC Daytime Broadway cares DVD, from the performance this past March. One of my friends was going to go to pick this up, but she has to be out of town now.
I'd pay shipping and costs and all that...
If you'd be willing to help a girl out, I'd be forever grateful! Please just send me a message.
