Not in its correct pronunciation ("?jo?s?" is what my dictionary says).
This will be pretty pointless, but many people seem to not know what a diphthong is. It is when one syllable has multiple vowel sounds. The words "I," "how," and "ew" (pronounced "ah-ee," "ha-ow," and "ee-oo," the diphthong coming in at the last moment). As someone said, "dia" is not a diphthong because it is two syllables, but the first syllable ("di") is.
This thread is pretty hilarious so far.

Diadem is as much a diphthong as that music at the start of Wicked is an overture.
My online dict. gives juicy as an example of a diphthong.
Maybe they pronounce it jee-uicy.
This thread is giving me flashbacks to studying the Skinner Method.
Every possible diphthong has a symbol. I remember trying to score a script in phonetics. The horror......

I'll be in a sho-ow
OOooOooHhhh"

My favorite hiatus in Follies is the intermission.
Joe, you're such a diphthong.

I'm sorry I ever brought it up- this diphthong rating is tearing us apart! Can't we just enjoy the show and not have to dissect each and every vowel combination?
You started it. This is your folly.

Did you know that diphthong is one of a few words in the English language that has 4 consonants consecutively.
Maybe the only one?
