Dear Queendom, We are so incredibly grateful for the love and energy you bring to this show, and seeing the support you have for our incredible casts. We wanted to share a gentle reminder about respecting the personal
boundaries of our performers, both online and at the stage door. While our cast members love hearing from you, please remember, they may not always be able to or choose to respond to DMs or comments online. At stage door, every performer has different
comfort levels regarding physical space and stage door interactions. Behind the costumes and characters, our actors are people who value their privacy and downtime. Not receiving a reply or a specific interaction is never a reflection of their appreciation for you, it's just
a part of maintaining a healthy balance! Let's keep this community a kind, respectful, and supportive space
for everyone.
Thank you for your never-ending support

What happened? People were being entitled, parasocial, and rude at the stage door. Nothing new or gossipy, just actors getting fed up with their behavior.

Good for them to remind people IMO.
Supposedly this is a response to recent behavior over at the West End production?

You don't get to be that successful without developing a group of psychos who become far too attached. Theatre just makes that much worse because those in the production aren't as far removed as they'd be if they were actual Pop or Movie stars. It's that faux accessibility. Nobody would expect Ariana to respond to fan DMs.

I haven’t seen this sort of stuff on social media for “SIX” but I see stuff on twitter from fans of “Death Becomes Her” on my algorithm and some of those fans are truly unhinged. Bragging about asking Megan Hilty, what I would consider, to be inappropriate personal questions on cameo and then dissecting her response. It really ruins it for everyone. I went to NYC in the early 2000’s for a school trip and the stage door felt like a niche experience that was very much a “if you know, you know” kind of thing. Social media has truly broken people’s brains.
