Still debating on my Equus ticket. All I can come up with is either
LEFT ORCH D or F 5 seats from the aisle (too far off to the side?)
OR
FRONT MEZZ A (too far?)
which is my best bet?
Front Mezz. of the Broadhurst overhangs at Row J (I believe?) That's a pretty damn good seat when you think about it! Go for full frontal view - Get Center Mezz for sure! OOOOORRRR, just wait it out like I am and get primo ORCH seats!
Do you think all primo ORCH seats are being set aside as premium seats?
Front Mezz. I HATE side seats.
F5 is not too far off to the side. Side orchestra seats aren't really bad at all. Sometimes they can be really off center if you are more on the extreme side, but it depends on the theater.

The Broadhurst is small so go for the Mezz. I sat in the front row in mezz and could see perfectly. I also sat to the extreme sides in orch also and could see fine.

I sat in the last side in row J on the side at the Broadhurst for Les Mis last summer and I saw just fine.
But in general, it does depend on the theater. At the Ambassador, I wouldnt have missed have the show in that seat.
Most of the time, I would say front mezz is better than side orch.
I would go for the orch. I love front mezz, but your only 3 seats off off the aisle, whick is basically center.
The Broadhurst is tiny. I sat in the last row of the Mezz for LES MIS and had no problem. Go for the front row of the mezz if you have a choice.
Get the front row Mezz. seats. I sat there for THE HISTORY BOYS and could not have imagined sitting anywhere more perfect. The seats are really great.

Front Mezz.
Though for Equus, you'll want to make sure you have glasses or binoculars so as to ensure that you see the whole *ahem* "package".
Front Mezz. Enjoy the show!
Front Mezz.
if you have long legs, take the orch seats. I've sat front mezz at the Broadhurst and found very little leg room. I still refer to the theater as the Broadhurts...
Don't sit to the left. All you will see is his butt. Go with the mezz where you'll be able to see "everything"

Which seats allow for the optimum viewing experience(money isn't an issue, seeing this play will make my life!) ?? I want to be close and be able to see everything. How do premium seats work? They don't seem to be on the seating chart, are they really worth the money?

I can't speak on behalf of the Broadhurst, but on behalf of everything else, in my opinion, typically, the front mezz. is always better! I ended up with house seats once, they were dead center front row mezz. The best seats I've ever had for a show!
When I saw Equus in London (with Dan Radcliffe, but not Richard Griffiths, who was out sick--boo!) I sat midway back in the side Orchestra (or Stalls, as they call it). It was OK. I don't know if they'll be using the same staging, but most of the action takes place in the center of the stage, so you don't miss anything if you're on the sides. Mezzanine Center will probably get you the best overall view of the stage, obviously, but if you want the close-up, ahem, *view* than you might want the Orchestra seats close to the stage.
Out of curiosity, is the Broadhurst "even" - what I mean is, are the views from the left orch identical to the right orch, or is there one side that is better than the other?
