How is the stage height for the front of the St. James? I see the first two rows of The Piano Lesson are discounted compared to the rows behind, but haven't seen a show from there before. My travel companions are on the shorter side, so they're concerned they'll miss a lot that close.

The stage is high so you’ll be looking up. When actors are upstage (back area of the stage) you’ll have a hard time seeing them. Also, you might be seeing them from their ankles and up due to being so close and it being a high stage.

Terribly high. I wouldn’t recommend it. I got a headache and a neck ache from it before I knew better.

I’m here right now and the front row is not that bad for this production.

Be sure to chime AFTER you see the show, too!

Side note, the front row for Strange Loop is outrageous. I swear the stage is a full two feet above the heads of those in the front row. It's like they're sitting in front of a wall.

They barely paid anything for their ticket so seems fair to me.
