Me too!!! :) lol
I like how when Seaweed kisses his fingers and touches Penny's lips! I also like how they are adding new lines to the Broadway script! (i.e., VELMA: Tracy certainly has redefined our standards!)

I'll be curious to hear some of the new dialogue by screenwriter Leslie Dixon, who did two of my favorite 80's guilty pleasures---OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE and OVERBOARD.

"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)."
-Adam Shankman.
"I haven't left this building since Windows 3.1!"
"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

Looks great! Glad to see that the film is not trying to duplicate the stage version like the film versions of "Rent" and "The Producers." Though I'm still uncertain about Travolta as Edna, I'm looking forward to the movie.

Sidney, your screen name was driving me crazy because it was so familiar and yet I could quite place it.
DEATHTRAP, right?
DEATHTRAP, right?

Wow, I cannot stop watching this trailer. It looks beyond fantastic.
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

LOL...Spider-Man comes out on May 3rd...I don't think it will be in the 1-5 marking when Hairspray comes out...in the top ten, yes, but not the 1-5..Harry Potter on the other hand will be like # 1 for a while..I wish they would have released it in between big blockbuster summer movies...so that Hairspray would stand on it's own...

It's hard to convince people that all the humor, edge, joy and 'john waters-like essence' is still in this version. Especially on trailer alone.
It is there, I just hope the doubters will take a chance with Hairspray... or else they will just miss out. I think its hard for anyone to eat there words- therefore I hope Hairspray is a huge smash- just so I can see all the bloggers back track. Or better yet, they see Hairspray and love it. :)
It's like 2002 all over again. "A broadway musical? Why the original is so good! Harvey's great, but he's no Divine! Its too cutesy. Where is Tammy and Hodgepile? Where is tilted acres, No pia zadora!? etc..."
But I am glad to see a lot of bww-ers are starting to warm up to the film.

I bought the OBC soundtrack and thought it was so corny that I doubt I would ever like it until my friend mentioned that it was actually based from a movie. I rented the movie today and totally liked it!
The tour is coming here in CA and I will probably see it now that I have a better understanding of the show and would definitely see the movie.
I can't wait!
