I laughed throughout The Play That Gows Wrong and would like to see more shows that are similarly hilarious. What do you recommend? (including old performances I can try to find on video).
Controversial, but I think Beetlejuice is hilarious.

I laughed a lot during Beetlejuice, The Prom, Head Over Heels, and Something Rotten even though none of those are the best shows ever written.
TOOTSIE is the funniest show on Bway right now that doesn't have the word Mormon in the title.
Nathan Lane, Julie White, and Kristine Nielsen are also doing some ridiculous comedy in GARY.

Most of Neil Simon's work. I love how he was able to just effortlessly weave one-liners into his dialogue. It was funny, but it kept the plot moving. It never feels like someone's stopping the show to make the audience laugh.
I just read You Can't Take it With You for the first time, and it's some of the funniest stage directions I've ever read.
Harvey is really funny too.

a) The original Bway cast of NOISES OFF with Dorothy Loudon--funniest show/production EVER--I couldnt breathe by Act 3
b) The FEMALE version of THE ODD COUPLE with Sally Struthers/Rita Moreno
c) Original cast of THE PRODUCERS with Nathan/Matthew
D) TITLE OF SHOW
Funniest shows on right now are Book of Mormon and The Prom. Just saw a local production of a play called Native Gardens that was very funny

Escape to Margaritaville was absolutely hilarious, but that's in more of a schadenfreude way.

Tootsie
Avenue Q (one week left)
Aladdin has its moments
I did laugh during Beetlejuice but can’t remember what about
One Man Two Guv'ners was recorded. Wordplay farce and slapstick.
