Posted: 7/5/12 at 5:37pmI know Caissie Levy is off until July 7th but I was wondering do any of the other leads have vacation time coming up. I really want to see Da'Vine and hope not to miss her when I see the show. Thanks...

Their "working" in London, should have nothing to do with their New York Contracts. Everyone works hard during rehearsals and most don't take a vacation till 6 months have passed on BWay, unless you are a Star and arrange it, and they ain't stars.
And apart a few changes, they knew their parts, it's a new stage and all but the set is just about the same.
I got nuttin' else to complain about in this heat.

Why does it matter to you? Their roles are very vocally demanding. They had barely a break between their London and Broadway run. They deserve it so back up.
You have been getting on my nerves recently CurtainPullDowner, so stop being so ignorant.

They were given just 2 days off between London and Broadway, I'd be surprised if there wasn't something in their contracts to allow for holiday to make up for that. The move from London to Broadway was very much scheduled as one thing, that's why they had to finish in London on a Thursday.
Also, it doesn't matter how well they already knew the parts, I'm fairly certain they couldn't decide to not turn up for rehearsal just because they knew what they were doing!
Caissie's only just getting to take her honeymoon, 8 months after she got married!

Saw it this afternoon (they were doing a matinee, I guess because of the holiday). Has to be one of the funniest shows I've seen in years. ...Oh, wait. GHOST? It's a drama? Oops.
Allright... Besides it being a complete disaster, the understudy for Caissie is wonderful.

Posted: 7/5/12 at 6:43pmIt does seem early for a break especially when it looks like the entire cast will be taking a long vacation very soon. But oh well :P.

Posted: 7/5/12 at 8:35pmCaissie is on her honeymoon.. She was married quite sometime ago, but didn't get the chance to take the time off with her new husband because she was still in contract. Frankly,a very well deserved vacation and glad its for a special reason.

OK, sorry, I hope they enjoy the time off.
I have worked in the theatre 45 years, I guess I need a vacation too.

Ghostfan2, based on your username, I'm not even going to try and answer it.
I was excited for this. But it really was as bad as the reviews said....

Posted: 7/6/12 at 12:28amI shouldn't have come in here and bashed the show. Sorry, guys. Her understudy was very good today...

Her understudy would have to be better.
I can't imagine a more bland performance than the one Cassie is giving.

Curtainpulldowner- there was also song changes, lyric changes and a lot of book tracks for an American audience as well as to make the show flow better. So in fact they didn't know they're broadway parts and ha to learn the entire how again in rehearsals. Surely if you "work in theatre" you should know that the move from London to broadway would be hardwork
And after all they're both human....
