I am upset that Cougar Town didn't get any major nominations. I like it better than Modern Family. Busy Phillips should have at least gotten a nomination, in my opinion. She's a riot. My other favorite, The Middle, was left out also. Modern Family is good but I don't always find it to be funny. JMO
Eris- But Betty could beat her with her Multiple emmys and Golden Globes. Those hurt....a lot.
While Betty does have more firepower Cheno has speed and agility on her side. The physical confrontation could do either way but I'd bet on Cheno.
I'll get my lawnchair, popcorn, and binoculars.
I dare someone to start a Facebook group called give the Emmy's back to TV
'I don't understand the "Glea Michelphaba" nickname.'
Didn't it start here a few months ago? I wish I could remember who first came up with it. It think it's pretty funny. I remember when she campaigned for the role of Elphaba but perpetuating the rumor that she might be stepping into Wicked once she left Spring Awakening. She didn't start the rumor but she encouraged it to keep going hoping to speak it into existence.

Oh jeez. How much do you think she paid the blogger to ask her that question?
The outrage over Charlie Sheen's "snub" in the AOL article is hilarious. Dude just plays himself on the show.
She would probably drop dead from exaustion one night during "Don't Rain On My Parade"

Wow very pleased for Lost, The Good Wife, 30 Rock, Modern Family and Glee. I know there is a lot of hate for Lea Michele but she does have some great moments on the show. But there is no way she stands a chance against Tina Fey, Toni Collete, and Edie Falco. Dissapointed Community was snubbed and that Ed O'Neill was snubbed. Happy for Amy Poehler but sad for the lack of overall love for Parks and Recreation. Kristin doesn't stand a chance against Betty White. They won't give it to anybody else as this is White's year. And if anyone upsets it will be Tina. Sad that Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer didn't get in again and it is a crime Jenna Fischer didn't get in for a brilliant year on The Offuce. Hope NPH wins he has a pretty good chance in Guest but I think Supporting is going to Ty Burrell.
So happy for Chris Colfer!
...and I almost want Jane Krakowski to win this year...although I do love me some Jane Lynch.
chris colfer does not deserve an "outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series" nod....he's not even acting. his character IS chris colfer, and just because he's playing what he has been in real life (a gay high schooler who is bullied by the football team) doesn't mean he deserves an acting award. good singer though.

Jane Lynch is great an all, but she freaking plays the same type of character in EVERY ROLE, even commercials. It is rather annoying.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY
Chris Colfer (Glee)
Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother)
Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family)
Jon Cryer (Two and A Half Men)
Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family)
Ty Burrell (Modern Family)
Isn't Neil the leading character in those series?
I'm not really into all the Glee stuff, but good for them.
However, I *am* thrilled about many other nominations, such as Judi Dench, Hope Davis, Neil Patrick Harris and Alan Cumming. Too bad that Michael Sheen didn't get a nod for his hilarious guest stint on 30 Rock. Luckily he did get one for The Special Relationship.
And: Dexter for the win!
Neil Patrick Harris was, IMO, one of the weaker Guest Stars on Glee.
Jane Lynch will, and deserves to win, although I would love if Krakowski won.
Glad to see that Mike O'Malley got a nomination for his work on Glee, as well as Morrsion, Michele and Colfer.
And as much as I love Chenoweth, BETTY WHITE FTW.
Isn't Neil the leading character in those series?
If you're saying that you think NPH should be considered as a "lead" HIMYM is really about Ted which makes him the lead character. Neil steals the show but he's still "supporting"
If you're saying that he's in the lead as far as chances to win I would say yes but Jesse Tyler Ferguson could beat him out.

I almost want Jon Cryer to win again just to watch peoples' heads explode.

It's embarrassing for Michele even to be fielding questions about FUNNY GIRL in that Times Blog, as she hasn't been offered the part and won't be.
Congrats for the nomination, however.
I think all three of the Modern Family guys will cancel each other out.

How does January Jones get Best Actress and Elisabeth Moss get Best Supporting? I thought Moss was higher billing and the more experienced actress.
It is based on what catagory the actors put themselves in. Ed O'Neil campained for supporting which was probably why he did not get the nod. He might have had he campained for lead.

Q, don't talk about Jon Cryer and exploding heads in the same sentence, don't forget he thinks his wife has hitmen out to get him!
And Moss submitted herself as Supporting this year, which is why she's in the category.

Am I the only crazy person who think Jane Krakowski has a HUGE chance or winning? Jane Lynch plays the same character in everything (except when she plays Spencer Reid's schizophrenic mother on Criminal Minds).
Now that nominations are out, the actors/shows have to submit episodes and that is what the decisions are made from. Each series submits 6 episodes to win the major categories (best comedy/best drama), each actor 1 episode. If Jane submits the Valentine's Day episode "Anna Howard Shaw Day" she could DEFINITELY win.
Which episode of Glee do you think Jane Lynch should submit? Madonna?
Congrats to Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch, I love them both!
I'd also like Matthew Morrison to win, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Hehe. Glea Michelphaba.
Critics are agreeing that Jane Lynch is the one to beat. Jane Lynch was completly against type in Julie and Julia. She also does not get recognized for her work a lot since she is a character actress and from what I can tell is well liked by the community who may want to recognize her for just having a large body of work.
Although, they do gush over 30 Rock a lot.
She's also absolutely adored in Hollywood...and many, many people are thrilled to see her finally breaking through in a major way. Not sure how many episodes the supporting actors submit...but Lynch's work with the woman who plays her sister is some spectacular stuff.
And really...anyone who has seen all of the Christopher Guest movies knows that Jane Lynch doesn't play the same character every time.
