for Gypsy, the stage door is in Shubert Alley. If you reach the theatre store in the alley, you've gone too far. It's a brass door, clearly marked, "Shubert Theatre Stage Door"

Haha, Sumofallthings.
The GYPSY stage door is right around the corner from the front door. When you exit, swing left and go down.
I don't know about BFO, though.
Sorry KarenWalker I'm just kind of an asshole when the moment strikes me
The moment strikes him ever minute on the dot. ![]()
But he is a funny hussy isn't he.
Awww, no occasionally I have something to contribute!
The cream of the hussy crop, he is.
The Boy From Oz-walk out the side entrance of the theater on the right. I don't know about Gypsy, but if you run for teh Boy From Oz you get to be one of the first people there. I walked out there by accident and was first on line to meet Hugh Jackman. But my mom wouldn't let me stay to meet him. Life sucks

For Gypsy, you don't have to run, but you can't hang back and pick up dropped playbills like I did and then come out expecting any chance of getting even a glimpse of an actor. There was a mob outside the door when I went, and with it closing soon, there'll prolly be an even bigger one.

Unless of course you're me and don't have to wait in the mobscene
lol
Seriously though... there usually is a big crowd after evening shows.... not matinees. If you're going to be there at the matinee this Saturday, don't expect Bernadette to come out. She rests between shows.

Can you explain what you mean by "stage door?"
Is this like the portal which leads to the brain of John Malkovich? If not, please define. IMMEDIATELY.

Well for me, it's the portal leading to hot men and/or *a* hot man... but that's just me, I think haha

Ahhh fun stuff! If you're going before the matinee, you'll get to see one of my favorite people in the world at the stage door

The Imperial stage door is on W 46th St ( the theater lobby is on W 45th). Facing the stage, you exit on the left side doors and that will get you almost at the Stage Door entrance.
The Shubert stage door is on one of Broadway's most famous side streets/alleys - they even hold free concerts there
- there's one coming up on June 2
has anyone been to either stage door before the show? if so what time you think i should get there? 2 hours before curtain call i was told

When I was there last weekend folks were waiting @ the Imperial stage door at noon waiting for Hugh Jackman to arrive.
