This is also great quote from Brantley. Almost takes away from his Bernadette rave 5 years ago.
And while Rose may be a dauntingly single-minded creature, Ms. LuPone now plays her less on one note than any actress I’ve seen.

What have reviews for Jenna Russell in "Sunday..." been like?
I saw her performance, and truly think she could steal it from Patti...
(*And yes, I also saw Patti as well, whom I ADORE, and I was bowled over by her Rose...*)
I completely and wholeheartedly agree about Benanti though - That TONY is HERS.

Jenna's reviews were positive but nothing like this.
Faith Prince is the one to worry about stealing it from Patti. But that even seems a little less likely now.

Wow, these reviews are incredible!
I saw the show at City Center, but I must say I am yearning for a chance to get to the St. James after these reviews.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Faith Prince's role in A Catered Affair is like a polar opposite of Momma Rose. Well, except for the favoring one child over another thing. It's just not flashy enough to grab the Tony committee's attention.
The Tony is Patti's.

I don't think I've ever wanted to see a show so badly after these reviews.

This is like reading one account of an orgasm after another. Congrats to the entire GYPSY family!!
I love Faith Prince, and she's fierce in "Catered Affair", but these reviews are just indescribable.

This is thrilling! I actually got teary-eyed while reading Brantley's review. The best part is that it's not even just a love letter, but several of them: one to Patti, one to Laura, one to Boyd, one to Arthur Laurents, and one to the entire production in general.
I think it might be in the top something-or-other of his most positive and gushing reviews.

The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.
