So if ticket sales don't pickup up with this new announced closing date will they change the date again?
Poor Patti. Isn't this at least the third time something like this has happened to her? When she did her solo concert on Broadway, didn't the producers announce an extension and then abruptly cancel it, leaving Lupone to lament about the humilation of it all. For Sweeney they announce that she has extended her contract and the show closes a couple of months later and now this.
Seeing as she's got a calendar counting down the days left until her contract is up, maybe she doesn't care anyway since she already got that second Tony. Anyone know if stars are guaranteed payment for the length of their contract?
