Hate to break it to you but Gavin has said in multiple interviews he wants to do something new after Dolly, and hold off on revivals for awhile.

Have been trying to get tickets to his Joe’s Pub shows for weeks (looking every morning/afternoon/night) so I didn’t want to bri g more attention by ousting it on this thread
But to my astonishment, I was able to get two tickets for the early show this morning!

Posted: 8/13/18 at 4:25pmsorry to bump this thread for what’s probably a silly question, but some people have mentioned him being in the live production of Hair? (on twitter, mostly). I think that show will be an absolute hot mess, but I was too young to see the 2009 revival so i’m taking what i can get here. I guess if that’s not until May he would do something before, but just figured I’d ask.

If anyone can pull it off if would be Gavin. But I have to recognize he'll be almost 43 when Hair airs. I doubt he would want to revisit Claude at this point.

I don't know that he'd be a replacement, especially like the 4th one, but he'd be a great Dr. Pomatter in Waitress- and the replacement hasn't been announced at this point. It could bump ticket sales for them.
