God i hate the mods who run this site

The festival what my new play is a part of has just had its launch in Manchester to announce the line up and what a line up it is. With tons of new plays, stand up, poetry, music., art and erm ME of course lol
It also has comedians from BBC3 Ideal, the Ladyboys of Bangkok and much more

Well anyway this festival is huge (with over 100 events) but when i let Broadway World know and sent them the press release well it never showed up on the news...ITS A F*CKING FRINGE FESTIVAL.

Yet Miranda coming to the UK and 157 news articles on Sister Act deserve all the attention they get.

How can they fail to promote events like the Not Part Of, when its normally people who start off in these events who end up producing, writing, directing the big west end shows.

As i said on my PM to your Mamma its not because my show is in the fringe as they have all ready promoted that twice and we are pretty much sold out, but the ones who have put this festival together the past 3 years (as an alternative to Manchesters International Festival) have worked so hard and have a huge festival on their hands.

Fringe work should be suported too, as without fringe you would have no mainstream

It is annoying like. Another thing is the neglect the West End shows page has compared to the Broadway one. When a new Broadway show opens it is instantly updated, unlike the West End one which stays out of date for months.

No mention of Priscilla, Sister Act, Night Music, La Cage Aux Folles, or any of the plays apart from Mousetrap, 39 steps and Woman in Black.

Yeah, i mean ive done quite a few for them before, but for some reason they dont seem to give a **** about a fringe festival

Maybee next year i should tell the festival to get Miranda over lol

Might I suggest Craig, that you create and continue to develop an up to date list of Press and Publicity contacts for both local and national media and the various websites that you post on.

If you have a product that is worth promoting, and I'm not just talking about Vertigo, but your impassioned plea for the festival itself, ensuring the information you submit is sent to the relevant persons, will hopefully result in you not getting so disappointed.

I respect Carrie for her support and response.

May I wish you continued success in all you do artistically and creatively.

At least the mods aren't closing the forum.
