How is it stealing if the recipients have no say in their award?

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

lol.

Nothing was stolen. Every award was earned and deserved.

But I guess someone should check Jan Maxwell's bag to be sure.

If we're going to say Cerveris "robbed" someone, it wouldn't be Watanabe...

I think Yazbeck was the best performance in that category.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

The person I think should have won didn't... therefore... the wrong person won... therefore... they stole the award... since... my opinion is the correct one and everyone else is wrong if they don't agree with me.

You betcha.

and because there isn't already a rant page for the Tonys.

And you DO realize that many people here agreed with many of the awards handed out, right?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Amazing how literal some young people are. Learn the definitions of hyperbole, metaphor, simile, and all the other literary devices that has been used in writing since the creation of dirt. (That's hyperbole!)

Go back to your play dates and resurface when you've been properly educated and your opinion actually matters.

This post doesn't make any sense. All of those winners made perfect sense and were pretty much all predicted to win.

Well, I think we all learned something today. Making stupid comments is now considered a "literary device".

We know the definitions. Why don't YOU learn how to use them intelligently?
