Rocket Ride the Kiss song? Did he change all the female pronouns?
No. I think there ARE female pronouns in this one but still, you get the idea.
PS: What will their combo name be?

Greef?
Croff?
Jovin?
They both seem a bit "passive" to me.
That says more about you than about them.
Is this for greel???
I need to get in on that threesome

Jonathan Groff is cute, but Gavin Creel? I've always felt he had a Gomer Pyle kinda quality. Goofy.
Let me re-word my comments: I in no way think ANYONE should have to hide their sexuality at all. Any human being should be able to be in public with the person they love. Whether that means just being out together, holding hands or arms around each other.
My point is: straight folks don't have to 'officially' tell anyone they are straight and I suppose it still gets my ire that gay folks are expected to. Or that somehow they are hiding something if they don't make a public announcement about it.
I just wish it still wasn't such a big freakin' deal to the media or public. I understand that gay kids benefit from others being public about their sexuality, I just wish the need weren't still there.

^Oh I totally agree.
I do think, though, that hopefully the way we'll get to a point in time where gay people don't have to "announce it officially" is by more and more up-and-coming young stars doing precisely what Groff did. He made it known without making it any kind of "big deal", basically just saying "yup, I'm gay and good with it and that's that!". I think that the more and more people start doing that- particularly when they're young and at the beginning of their careers like Groff is- the more it will just start being an understood thing, and the need to have any "official confirmation" at all will go away.
But in order for that to happen I think there first needs to be those people who step up and start showing other young gay people that you can live your life open and happily and it's not something you need to keep hidden. And to do that, at this point, it helps to say it outright. Outright, but not making a big deal out of it- which is exactly what Groff did :)
Curtain, funny you should mention Liberace. I was on vacation last week in Vegas and went to his museum. While looking at the cars and costumes (A lot of which I remember seeing on tv) I wondered how nothing triggered for me as a young kid that he was gay. Although, I really didn't know what "gay" was as a very young kid except that it meant very happy.
Agreed drama. Wanda Sykes (sp?) has a great quote from her comedy act on HBO that says she never had to sit down and tell her anyone she was black.
And SNL, I also applaud the way that both Groff and Creel came out. They didn't make it into a big thing to score publicitiy points. It was just this is who I am. No big thing.
However, it seems that this the way that most younger kids (much younger than Creel and Groff) are approaching the subjects. I've had several students who have made references to their being gay during class discussions, activities, etc. And it was no big deal to them or the classmates. I had a student made a comment once (about gay marriage being legalized in CT and how he can look forward to getting married) while the principal was in the room observing me. Even the presence of the school principal didn't deter him or make him think twice.
I applaud it when anyone could come out (not necessiarily about sexuality) and be who they are without fear of judgment. And without making it all of who they are.

First "straight folks don't have to 'officially' tell anyone they are straight"? HELLO? Have you ever read an interview with Hugh Jackman!?
Second, boys, since we know you're reading this, SEX TAPE. You need to show the gay kids how, as some wise poster said earlier about something else.
DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

Jonavin!
Am I the only one that thinks they DON'T look cute together? I love them both...but, in appearance I don't think they go. But, I am happy for them nonetheless.
All-right betches, this whole Jonavin thing? Loves it, but also all the more fuel for each of us to get off of our single bitter queen thrones (do I speak only for myself?) and find someone just as cute!!!
Jonavin sounds like one of those obnoxious made-up trendy baby names. I really hope that doesn't stick.
I rarely ever say this about celebrity couples, but can we please at least get a sex tape out of this?
I've never thought Jonathan was very attractive but Gavin is one of the few men who I would tap.

Yeah, I'm not not so sure how I feel about the Jonavin nickname, and besides, I'm more used to calling Groff "Groff" than "Jonathan" haha.
Someone mentioned Groff de Creel in another thread, and that's still my favorite :P Sure it doesn't actually shorten it or anything, but it sounds the best! hehe
I am so livid... I cannot even express my emotions right now. Jonathan, really? sighhhh... what an awful day. Well, I guess as long as Gav's happy..
Don't worry. You might still have a shot. They do have the ten year age difference going against them. Not to mention the fact that the couples who get the one name abbreviations don't usually last very long.
