All I have to say to everyone who is afraid of this "interaction"...RELAX! ENJOY YOURSELF! If you don't like people touching you or human interaction...why the hell are you seeing a show like HAIR in the first place?
I wasn't expecting interaction at all as I was on the back row. I got lots of it. Too much fun. Have a good time.
And everyone has permission to steal whatever I say.
I'm too lazy to read through the entire thread but here are the key places the actors "mess" with the audience--the front row is entirely vulnerable, as are people at the end of the rows closest to the aisle. If you're not the closest to the aisle or the second closest, you usually aren't bothered. However, I'm not sure if the same can be said for the mezzanine.
Best. Thread. Ever.
"What exactly does "audience interaction" entail in this case?"
They may dance with you (but it doesn't happen during every song). When I saw the show, Jackie Burns danced with someone briefly in the left orchestra. They also play with your hair. Gavin kissed the ladies hands sitting next to me.
Have you read the thread?:
Audience interaction = Glasses removed, tea bagging, and audience nudity.
I love this thread.
Oh another question. Do they smoke fake stuff? I'm allergic to simulated marijuana use.

I want balls on my shoulder too
.
I haven't seen Hair yet but every one of these interaction inquiries get me even more excited to go.

I can identify with the glasses thing! I am already bad with glasses. I tend to mangle them! I am on my 3rd pair in under 2 years! But I would probably just take them off when the actors interacted. My vision would be a bit blurred but I would do it just to make sure nothing happened to my glasses. And I can see up close without them so the testicals would be clear to me!!! :)
The best was when Gavin Creel took my contacts out!
My Father has a pacemaker and is worried the tribe of Hair will try to remove it. Has this happened to anyone? Any feedback would be appreciated as he has great anxiety about it being removed during theatrical events.
I doubt it.
Now what about my girlfriend's IUD?
Okay on a serious note, there is NO WAY IN HELL they would remove a pacemaker!!!!!!!! It makes me wonder if you are joking because how could you possibly think they would do that? As for the glasses. Don't worry about it. As for being further back, that makes no difference, so with poor vision i'd say go for the closer seats, just sit towards the center, not an aisle and you'll be fine. If you make it clear you don't want your glasses touched, I'm positive they won't touch them.
This thread is NOT A JOKE.
HAHAHAA.
Has it gotten easier to yank people's chains around here or am I more clever than I thought? I think it's the former.

I don't know about IUDs, but my friend said that if you sit in seat A115, the cast takes out your NuvaRing.
Thanks for the warning. Anyone want a great seat for Saturday's matinee? PM me.
T101...Paris came over with a tweezer and plucked my eyebrows. Sorry for you guys in A115 who lost their birth control. I'd be heartbroken.
