HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

Um...do you have a source, or are you just shouting things you think?

HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

I just read that on playbill. WOW, I really thought they'd try to ride out the summer.

HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

Several members of the cast has posted about it twitter. On Broadway.com it says that many of the current and London cast members will take part in the tour.

HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

They had a great run, much longer than anyone anticipated. When it was at its best, it was the best show playing on Broadway at the time. Only show I've seen more than twice, saw it four times and every time it was a magical, beautiful experience. Glad it had such a great run HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

Sad that its closing. Thrilled I got to experience it 3 times. Truly a beautiful production.

This is sad, I too thought they would hold out for the summer, even hoped some of the OBC would return. Oh well, at least the current cast can tour, wishing them all the best.

It could always extend a few weeks if there is a strong demand for tickets, but the writing's been on the wall for a while now with the b.o numbers barely being at 50%.

Great production and a great run - for better or for worse (I think for better) its almost unusual for any revival to play much longer than a year these days.

This had the potential to be a much bigger hit. Revival or not.

Any chance it'll extend?

Oh Lord...here we go. If there were any chance of extending do you think a closing notice would have been announced? Logic people. Bid it adieu. It had a great run, in the park and on the stage...much more than anyone had anticipated. It won a Tony for Best Revival. All good things must come to an end.

To quote the great Deena Jones:

"Thank You....and good night!"

Too bad! I really thought it would last the summer.

This is one of the best stage productions I've ever seen anywhere. See it if you can! I'm definitely gonna try to catch it again before it closes.

Remember last year when I asked why this production was not doing as well as it should and a lot of you stupid bitches led by PJ came down on me? And all I wanted to know was why it was not a bigger hit. Bunch of bruta putas on this site.

I agree that it may have run longer if the original cast hadn't gone to London. Broadway sort of got shafted and London didn't realize what they had, but it had a decent run and they recouped so congrats.

HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

it was a good show...till the new cast raped it...

It was still a good show, they just wouldn't be your BFF on Facebook and you found another cast to glom onto. Nice American Idiot avatar. HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

All the locas brought up all the tickets they could. No it's time to close the b!tch down.
#23

HAIR TO CLOSE JUNE 27TH

The locas are what kept it going this long. This show lost steam even with the original cast . Weeks after it open it was still heavily discounted on all those discount sites.

Honestly, Dame, I don't really see how this could have been a bigger hit. It got extraordinary reviews, won the revival Tony and played over a year on Broadway following an extended (free) production in Central Park.

Not bad for a dated 12960s musical that is still done by every community theatre in the country.

Keeping the original Broadway cast wouldn't have made a difference - the numbers were declining before they left.

Well I certainly got the most I could get out of this particular production. Will Swenson's crotch in my face...what more could I ask out of a Tony winning revival? Now if only Ricky Martin can pull this stunt on me during his run in EVITA then I can finally go in peace knowing life was especially good to me.
