Here's an article: http://deadline.com/2016/03/christopher-jackson-cast-bull-cbs-pilot-hamilton-1201719940/ I'm not 100% sure how these things work, but I believe that he's been cast in the pilot, and then the series has to be picked up. So I doubt it's a sure thing at this point.

Quite a few CBS shows shoot in New York. Just something to keep in mind. I suspect he'll stay through July at the very least.

Even if the pilot is picked up, he could still stay in Hamilton, depending on his shooting schedule.

also... a show has to be picked up, or ordered to series, before this becomes remotely relevant or noteworthy. right now it's just a pilot... hundreds of pilots are shot by the networks every year. they will film the pilot, which he can easily do while still in HAMILTON, and then decide after that if they move forward with a series order. that decision could come as late as May or June. and then, if it's a midseason premiere, they would not start shooting until maybe August or September. but we just don't know enough right now. i would say you really shouldn't worry or be sighing at this point. if anything, this just shows how much of a demand there is for the OBC of HAMILTON. you can expect many others to get more high-profile opportunities after they leave....

Yes you are right on all counts! It's awesome that they are all going to have doors open to them and I wish them all success in whatever they doing going forward.

Is Ben Thompson not white, though? I've never seen him mention his own race; I'm going by this sentence: "the whole cast is great, especially Ben Thompson as a white mechanic who gives John a chance at redemption" from a Deadline article about Holler If Ya Hear Me.

There's also the fact that because it's a pilot they may recast if the series gets picked up. Shooting the pilot is no guarantee that you've landed a series.
