DAMN!
Who else was hoping this was going to be about Young Chefs?
----------------------------------
Hell's Kitchen is the musical story of an era in New York City history that will never come again. It takes place in the early 1960's in a neighborhood both feared and respected by those who stepped within it's borders. It follows the life of Danny Vincente and his friends and family through the warmth and the heartbreak of their lives. It has doowop on street corners, street smart scams, rooftop sanctuaries, mobsters, strippers and the scintillating rock scene of the true 1960's. It has 25 songs based on the values of old Broadway.
Hell's Kitchen The Musical opens February 11th at The Hudson Guild Theater at 441 West 26th Street (between 9th and 10th Avenues). For tickets, call 212-721-0940. www.hellskitchenthemusical.com

I figured it was about that area in the city and would love to see it.

I had a friend in a reading of this over 2 years ago. I never got to see it, but she was very impressed by it at the time. We'll see.

Hehe....that's what I was thinking.
"Food Glorious Food"
So is this the start of a trend, based on the success of IN THE HEIGHTS? Musicals about NY's neighborhoods???
DUMBO - It's not about an elephant anymore!
IN THE HEIGHTS 2 - Brooklyn strikes back!
CHELSEA - More sordid rooms than London!
I think we've already worn out WASHINGTON SQUARE.

Sounds great, but I was really hoping that this show was about Gordon Ramsey.
The TV show was the first thing that came to my mind as well. I was like "What the..........?"
Can't find a previous thread, but I saw the tour in Chicago last night and was really blown away. I went in expecting to be bored out of my mind, but I loved every second of it. It moves at such a quick pace, great songs, staging, loved the sound design and the incidental music. The vocals are insane by the two parents. Totally recommend.

This thread appears to be about an off-Broadway show?
…kind of shocked that this was the thread you could find.

1. Click at the top where it says “pick a topic”
2. Scroll through the list until you find the relevant topic/show
3. Hell’s Kitchen should be there between Hamilton and Just in Time
4. Any thread related to that topic should appear, including a thread explicitly for reviews.
