Well there's a good review for it. Surprised it is still open. I guess people enjoy all the dancing. Glad you liked it.

I believe tickets are being sold as far as Sept.
I also heard that TransAmerica is still putting money into this project to keep it open.
Maurice Hines is there every night.

The show is wrong on so many levels, but I've been hung from higher crosses.
I wish the show was done in the style of "Dancin'" That is, let the dancers alone tell the story, without any book.
Whereas I feel I could comfortably refer anyone to the production of The Drowsy Chaperone, I feel I must give this show a qualified reference to a limited group. Manly dance afficianados. But the dance troupe in the Hot Feet Ballet are cohesive and incredibily in synch. They provide a very entertaining dance ensemble.
Given the high discounted seats, for certain people, its worth seeing.
I watched the first act from the Mez. I moved downstairs for the second Act. I recommend seeing from the orchestra. Don't go up.

And don't forget...just because tickets are being sold through September doesn't mean it's going to be open through September. They typically refund when the closing notice goes up.

I am going to wait until I get there and go to TKTS and grab a ticket. Even with the bad reviews, I just have to see this show. Hopefully I will next Wed.

Not sure about Maurice. I was told that Debbie Allen and Norman Nixon attend a couple of times a week and that Phylicia Rashad also goes often. The stars are quite gracious at the stage door. Even the ushers appreciate a kind word about the show. In fact, someone from wardrobe took my mother's autograph book back to Vivian to sign. She wrote her a nice note.
The show has Tony talent, and if you can just get past the hideous shoes on stage and the fact that the costuming doesn't coincide with the storyline and just go for the dancing, you'll be entertained.
Besides, I saw more audience members I would be intrigued to meet there than I did at Drowsy, where the average age of was about 65

Who gives a s*** what the audience members are like? Is that what $101.25 for? (Or in the case of Hot Feet...what was it, $61.25?/$21.25?/They begged you to come in and sit down?)

It matters to a degree. There's something to say about the collective vibe of the audience. At Hot Feet, everyone there was in a festive mood, more dressed up than you usually see anymore, and you could sense they were really looking forward to the show. And it was fun to people watch in the lobby.
I picked up on what the audience means to a performance when I first saw Rent. It was like the audience fed the stage. You could feel it.
