I am seeing this on Monday. I have been wanting to see this since it opened, and I feel like all I have read about this show is negative..
Does anything have anything positive to say about House of Blue Leaves??
Edie Falco.

^ pretty much that, also liked the nuns and alison pills character
Additionally, I thought the set was impressive, and one of my favorite bars is a block away.

Saw the Wednesday matinee a few weeks ago and loved the show. Is it perfect? No. Edie Falco alone is worth the price of admission, and it was fun to see Ben Stiller on stage.
I went in with an open mind and had a blast.
Saw it in previews and the weakest part of the show was Stiller. I hope he has gotten better but when I saw it, he didn't convey the desperation the character was supposed to have to build to the end of the play. Jennifer Jason Leigh, on the other hand, was FABULOUS and should have gotten nominated, in my opinion. Edie Falco was good, but Leigh stole the show the night I saw it. Even with Stiller's performance, the show is well written and stands on its own. So if he isn't any better, it is still a good show and a good production. Loved the set. And love the magnet I bought!
Saw it the other night. Thought it was pretty terrible, but not boring. Edie Falco is wonderful though. Stiller and Leigh are awful (with a special mention going to the latter). The nuns are also quite good, especially the Little Nun. It's just a poorly directed production.

Saw this show a couple of weeks ago. Was a little concerned since I am not a Ben Stiller fan but he was ok. Edie Falco & Jennifer Jason Leigh were very good. I had never seen the show before so for me, it was a good night at the theater. Would and have recommended this to others and they have enjoyed it too. Not the best show ever but a great night out. You won't be disappointed.
