you are so sweet! i'm so glad that this has been such a positive message board. it would also make me so happy if someone from this board made it! i have faith in you guys!

withoutlovewithoutyou~that's so exciting that you got called back for penny! that's what i'm hoping will happen with me and you have given me hope because they made it so clear that they are only looking for tracy, seaweed, and lil inez at these calls. anyhoot, i truly hope everything works out with the weather.

I'm excited about them calling back for Penny too, because a friend of mine really wanted a shot at being in the movie, and I can tell her that she does now (she's a taller, thin soprano)! I'm so excited that some of you guys got call backs, and I hope you get to go farther in the auditions. I also hope that they let people reschedule their call backs if they couldn't make it because of the snow.

Well, I braved the blizzard and went to the callback! Not SO bad because I only live ten blocks from Nola, where they had callbacks, and it was so much fun!! Definitely none of the pressure that was there yesterday, and way more fun.

They called back 15-18 girls for Tracy out of 270 people! Lots of girls were very good...and there were a lot of really good people there for Seaweed, too.

Then I got to play in the snow after with my friend. 8th Ave was pretty much deserted! Sooooo nice and it wasn't even that cold. But now there's just waiting for two months (!!!!) for them to do Chicago auditions and review the tapes...then they are doing screen tests in LA. But if nothing happens, it was still a blast.

Also, agreed with the niceness of this thread! That's why I don't really post here often, most people kinda jump down your throat...but this thread has been so nice! And yesterday at the auditions the girls I met were talking about how all Tracys are nice, haha, because the girls I met were so sweet. So yay for nice people!!! The girls I met at the cb today were really nice too.

people up near chicago...how's the weather looking for this coming weekend?
i'm in the sunshine state and it's 40 degrees and everyone is freezing. lol. it'll be rough going up to 20 degree weather, but i'm more than happy to rough it. any weather attire tips? of course i'll wear a normal audition outfit, but what should i wear the rest of the time i'm there? just lots of layers, thermal underwear? you guys up there face it every day, just wonderin if there were any special tricks. lol. stupid question, i know. :)

ah! this is all so exciting! i'm so fired up and ready to go!

sorry about all the questions. i'm on a roll.lol. if by some ondrous miracle i were to be called back, would you recommend singing the same song you did the first day, or another piece?

If you're called back they give you materials to sing...for Tracys it was the last verse of GMB and then a scene.

I live about 5 hours south of Chicago (in northern KY), but it's close to the same weather here usually. I'd advise just wearing thick jeans, a sweater, and a heavier coat for normal days.

Wellllll....I know all about the weather...I live in Michigan and let me tell you...it is freezing right now. I'd recommend really warm clothes, especially since chicago is right on the lake! I'm going to wear like 5 layers of clothing and have audition clothes on underneath!! Good luck and I'll probably see you there bright!

I origanally acme into the open call to audition for Tracy, because I'm not a really thin girl, and then the asked me to come back and sing and read for Penny. I had to sing part of Without love, and I think I did well, but I'm still shocke dthat they wanted me to sing for Penny... I guess you never know what they are looking for!
Hey who else was at the callbacks around 2pm-ish, cause that's when I was there!

So what would you all say if I said I was going to send in an application for a part other than the 3 listed? I've brought it up before (in fact, it's all I talk about on this topic), but I don't know if applying is a good idea.

What could it hurt to apply? I think BrightEyed sent in her stuff even though she didn't fit any of the 3 characters, and the casting agents contacted her about auditioning. I say go for it, because you can only gain.

OHMIGOODNESS!!!!!!! i am SOOOOOOOO excited. i picked out my outfit to wear the day my parents ok'ed me going. lol. :)

I'm right with ya...my roommate and I went shopping for an outfit today and picked out a cute one! What time are you guys planning on getting there? I'm planning on 9 I think, cuz i'll probably get lost if i don't plan on getting there that early!

I'll wear a little sticker that says bw.com...that could be fun? Haha, I have so much homework to do tonight and I'm never giong to get it allll done!

if you get a callback, will they let you know immediately, or will they call you or will they post it later in the evening, or what? need to know what to do in case i were to get a callback if we would need to stay an extra night or whatever.

From all the stories I've been reading, I think they tell you about callbacks immediately. Everyone sings, then the judges (whoever they are) talk amongst themselves and let the people know.

TheVolleyBaller: Do you have any software on your computer that will let you crop out the other people? I think that would be best.

Fxy2003: I'll probably be getting there about 9 as well. Our plane arrives a little after 8, and I'm going directly there.

Banana: Cool...maybe i"ll see you there! I'm staying the whole weekend so that I can try to get lottery tickets for wicked one of the nights...I'm going by myself too cuz none of my friends can afford it, so that kind of sucks, but hopefully I'll meet a whole bunch of cool new people!
