Not sure if this is what you mean, but pricing the seats closest to center as premium, while the far side seats in the same row are much cheaper is a pretty standard practice. I wouldn't look into it too much. Also, wheelchair accessible and their companion seats are generally priced much lower.
Not sure if they’re still pricing this way but there’s end two seats (one in each row) in orch that are closest to the entry doors/ticket check that are priced $20 under the rest of the end seats in those sections. These seats should be labeled partial view because of the overhang and missing half of the stage. They’re not companion seats either so just be cautious if buying to extreme right or left in orch.
Seatgeek is the worst experience I have ever had regarding purchasing anything in the entertainment industry. Just please make sure you don't have to exchange because they don't understand how and the organization that hired them is just as useless in regards to helping you. Good luck.
poisonivy2, you are most likely looking at a combination of box office face value tickets and resale tickets.
Here's what you need to do to look at face value tickets only:
1. Click on a date.
2. Next, above the list of available tickets you will see "Official Box Office + Verified Resale" with a downward pointing arrow. Click on that, and you'll see just "Official Box Office." Click on that, and you'll see only face value tickets.
The fact that SeatGeek makes the Box office + resale tickets the default choice is beyond deceptive.

Ok thank you! I'm going to do that. What a counterintuitive website.
I think there is also some demand-based (or date-based?) pricing at play. For example, selecting "Official Box Office Only" for Thursday September 16 7pm has Orchestra Center Row D Seat 113 for $299 (plus $22 fees); the SAME seat ["Official Box Office Only"] is $249 (plus $20 fees) for Wednesday, October 13th at 7:30pm.

Look at January, dirt ass cheap."
As far as I can recall, Hadestown tickets have always been heavily variable in price. I've seen the same seats on the same nights fluctuate from $90-$400 just depending on how close to the show it was

Are you using the app? I don’t see it in there either but on my mobile web browser it pops up right away (official box office + verified resale, select this and a drop down appears) before you select a quantity. Try using SeatGeek from the web browser or a computer

Interesting, I didn't know that. I saw it on 9/11/19 and prices were much less expensive that day. I get why but I didn't know about the "varies greatly in general" thing.

They do vary but I’ve never seen seats with that range sold through Ticketmaster with that difference and I’ve seen Hadestown 10+ times. I will say though a few times I’ve waited until day before to buy my seat from Ticketmaster. Once even on the train to NYC. The price did drop from when I first checked the seat to purchase. Cheaper the day before vs a week before? Sure. But never hundreds of dollars.
Unless they’re talking about resale? If that’s the case, yes. Resale jacks up the price to hopefully make a profit. But closer to show, the price drops to almost nothing.

The attendance in the show is impeccable in general. I believe Eva missed a few of the early performances due to her history of vocal problems, but every other main cast member attended almost every show (even Amber Gray was breastfeeding in between acts). Reeve never missed a single performance and was only scheduled for a vacation the day the show shut down. The cast of the show has impressive dedication.

Jordan, my Post #6 above offered instructions on how to select "box office only" when using a computer. You can also use the same procedure to see the option when using your browser on a mobile device. (I can see it on my iPhone using Safari.) However, I've searched all over the mobile app and can not find that option. To me, this is a big flaw in their app.
Thanks so much. I had tried using the sit on my mobile browser but it just kicked me to the app every time i clicked on something. But i figured it out and can do it now. Appreciate it!!

Yes they are the worst. Telecharge employees always knew what they were doing and what was going on. Telecharge has great customer service. Ticketmaster suck too.
