That was awfully fast! Rock on, Tribe!
Certainly not bad for a show that less than a year ago was having trouble scraping together the funds to even open on Broadway.
I bet the investors who antied up are glad they did now!
Yay! Congrats to everyone involved, I'm so happy for them.
Congrats to the show! may it have a long healthy run on broadway!
That is great news! Congrats to the cast and crew. I hope it continues to run for a long time.
out of control fast. champagne all around!
Did we seriously believe it wouldn't recoup? It has been doing strong in the box office for a long while. Congrats to all on a big Hit!
The cast should celebrate by taking to the streets. Naked.
WOW! I haven't read the article yet....but does this break some kind of record??? I remember when Spring Awakening re-couped in 9 months they made a big deal about it....THIS is what FOUR months?
Congrats!
Congrats to the cast/crew on this FANTASTIC news. Hope they pull a strong multi-year run.
Great news - thank you Public Theatre, Diane Paulis and of course that terrific Tribe!

That's incredible. I knew it would happen fast judging by these numbers but not this fast!

Woo-hoo!!!!! Congratulations to the cast and the entire creative team. I don't think I've ever seen a show recoup so fast!!! That's such great news!!!
Great job!!!! I should have a long, healthy run. And I thought A Chorus Line recouped quickly(6 months).
I raise my coffee mug to the producers!
Fast as this was, it makes sense. Compared to most shows, I'm sure it cost very little to produce.
WOW! They are quick!
Yeah!!! Glad to say my bff's and my $225 could help!
Good for them - hope they have a long run!

That's great; wasn't the production delayed because of inadequate funding/an inability to secure producers? If so, what an amazing outcome!
Fast as this was, it makes sense. Compared to most shows, I'm sure it cost very little to produce.
$5.76 million, according to the article.
The average Broadway musical today costs $10 million.
I bet everybody who pulled out of investing is kicking himself now.
