Rewatching Oprah...
Marc, is that "The Madison" in the score when Nadine and the other clerk open the curtain on Edna?
If so- no wonder you are who you are. :)
I can't wait to hear the full score.
wow, youre right, i think that is the madison! i can hear the music to:"baby dont sleep. baby dont eat." i think youre right! wow...thats great
But mateo, when you were @ ShoWest you said that "The Madison" could be heard while the kids were at Motormouth's. By the way, is that you in your avatar?
It wasn't really 'the madison' persay.
It was just the made up lyrics sung by a male voice over some music that the kids were dancing to. But when I saw the screening- that scene chunk was not there. Actually I think it was partially there just mixed with other music.
But they are still editing the movie- so nothing is set in stone.
oh and yes thats me.
zac efron is hot!!! and the movie looks great.. but oprah is so all over the place.. take your family n friends every return from break.. its like shut up!! and that audience must be crack screaming for JT.. wtf.. calm down.. geez.. michelle looked tired .. her eyes were practically closed. agin movie looks great so far... can't wait
this made me a lot more excited for the movie. Now I'm looking foward to it
Travolta'a accent confuses me. It just does. I hear it is very accurate, but it sounds like a country doctor evil to me. O well, I hear the movie will be amazing and I want to see it.
i love: "orh, the station mianerger" i love that line! sorry, but its just so funny to me.
"Let me guess... new dress? Oh, you'll stop traffic!"
-Velma Von Tussle, to Edna Turnblad
i love the face she after "new dress" its like "awwww"
I love the B,B&B Reprise! I want to hear CSF (Come so Far). Heck, I wanna hear every song! Welcome to the 60's on OPRAH was awesome! I love JT's accent!
ditto!
Saw the trailer today during "Shrek The Third"---
Looks ok, but sounded weird hearing Queen Latifah singing
"Cant Stop The Beat" by herself (at least it sounded that way at 1st listen)
Travolta--- looks and sounds ridiculous ! He looks like one of the Klumps !!!
That's strange... I saw "Shrek the Third" last night and I didn't see it. I wished that they would've!! :)
I saw the trailer during Shrek 3 as well. All my friends were like "Ohhh Amanda Bynes!" and I was all "Ohhh Spencer Liff!"
I'm listening to BBB Reprise again and I still can't figure out what those two lines of Michelle's could be. I can't find anything that would make sense. I think her first line is:
VELMA: Wilbur, can't you feel the burnin' flavor of my desire?
The soundtrack booklet better have the lyrics!
Updated On: 5/19/07 at 09:25 PM
I can't either.
but I did figure out it's
"Wilbur, can't you feel the burnin' FLAME of..."
"you're gonna need more than some..."
The trailer playing with "shrek 3" is slightly different than the one online. It includes one extra line of dialogue for Travolta-- "first the hair, now this?"-- and a brief clip of Latifah on 'Corny Collins' saying "I'm Motormouth Maybell."
I think that is now the official trailer. It can be seen on youtube.
The extra from "Baltimore Crabs" during the Tracy line "People who are different there time is coming" was replaced with an Amanda Bynes clip.
Voice over "for anyone who wanted something bigger," and stuffing bra clip replaced with Corny and Motormouth lines.
The dance exchange with Tracy and Link "I think knowing you is the start of a pretty big adventure" repalced with Edna's "first the hair, now this!"
I saw that online. I wondered if it was official or not! By the way, mateo have you figured out the name of the third Dynamite? We know Nadine and Tanne for sure but who is the third one? I have been looking it up but I can't find it. Marc, what is the name of the Dynamite song they sing on Negro Day? It was on Oprah's preview.
watching this on Oprah made me gag.
just awful.
Btw, for those that have seen "Shrek 3"--- did you catch the Broadway/theatre reference by the Gingerbread Man ??
Very funny !!!
I think I have it!
Velma: Those lips, those eyes
Edna: That food! Well there ain't nothin' like a spread to get ya in the mood.
Velma: Wilbur, Can't you feel the burnin' flame of our desire. You're gonna need more than some seltzer to put out this fire!
Edna: Well then, look out Ol' Baltimore.
Velma: I'm sellin' something you can purchase in a 10 cent store.
Edna: Oh Wilbur, I feel like a princess, come on and take me to the ball!
Velma: I bet your tired of heavy lifting, get your hands on somethin' small.
Edna: Because, I'm BIG
Velma: Blonde
Both: and Beautiful! It's time to face the facts, its irrefutable.
Velma: Why waste one more minute.
Edna: Now I'm feelin' brand spankin' new!
Both: Hey Wilbur take a look it's all for
Velma: You.
Edna: You!?
damn!
C'mon Marc.. just tell us. oy!
*edit* I think the problem is in the desire/fire.
