Half Time (Gotta Dance) Opening on Broadway in Spring, 2017

If this is a thread already, please tell me. I've searched for one and found nothing.

Anyway, I wonder why the changed their name...

I was waiting for somebody to post this.  I think the new name makes so much more sense.  "Gotta Dance"  would have gotten lost in the "So you think you can dance", etc chatter and I don't think it would have helped the show.  Plus "Half Time" can have a double meaning - as it's a half time performance and could be thought of as the cast only being "half way" thru their lives.

Where are we predicting this will go?

i was thinking the music box, but it's coming in the spring which makes me wonder if another show has the music box for the fall.

So You Think You Can Dance was chatter in 2007, not 2016 (let alone 2017).
And the older cast members are past "half way" as morbid as that sounds.  Maybe Half Time refers to their dance ability?

Did Half Time announce whether they are going into a Shubert house? because Significant Other is either going into the Cort or the Music Box

hope they announce a theatre soon. it's a small cast so they could go in any theatre really. the website says it's broadway bound.

the producers should really wait until the following season. There's already 13 new musicals opening this season. It's already a crowded field.
