I'm hoping this is the case. If you check the Nov-Jan dates, you can see many tix AREN'T being put up for resale. Not sure if it's a resale delay but I hope not. So it made me wonder if they caught some botters/ other shenanigans and returned those tickets to the public. Compare that to resale tickets available in the hundred+ to hundreds level for a single date in the earlier lots, which is just wrong *smh*.
Missed this since I was out all evening but it's all good if these tix are getting into real patrons' hands and not opportunists.

I bought tickets for Oct and Nov in the last presale and we were informed to not expect access to our tickets until approximately 90 days so that Ticketmaster could investigate ticket sale patterns, cancel as they've done here, etc. True to their word, I can't access those tickets yet.

Wow. In less than 2 hours a ton of tickets that go on sale with no notice are gone. The power of this show is unbelievable.
Or the power of the scalpers' software to buy up huge numbers of tickets quickly before other people can get them, and then resell them for fifteen times the face value."
Yeah. I clicked through every single day on Ticketmaster when I finally found out (early this morning, but way too late) and there were frequently ~80 resale tickets for that day. That's scalpers/ opportunists. And I mean when the cheapest resale tickets are ~$700 I guess I get it… still pisses me off.

Call me a skeptic, but is this an attempt by producers to build goodwill with the fan base before jacking up ticket prices once again? I'm not buying this 100%, as I have no doubt that they held some back from the last block on release. It's a PR game being waged on all fronts here.

If anything this just proves how much power the box office and producers have. They are in bed with the resellers. You can't just cancel orders that are bought and paid for. They released resellers tickets that belonged to them. It's a crock.

Well, I did read a couple of weeks ago, and I can't remember if it was here or on ATC, someone saying that her friend is a ticket broker, and the friend had her Hamilton bookings canceled all of a sudden, and that other ticket brokers had the same experience. The person posted, Why would the Hamilton people do that? And someone answered, Ticketmaster would do that if its terms of service had been violated. So it's possible that some of these brokers or scalpers or whatever were violating the terms of service and had their orders rescinded.

Yeah I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this does sound like what could be happening. I bought tickets for November back in January - the FIRST time anyone could buy them for those dates. There is a hold on those tickets so electronic/PDF wont be available until 90 days before the performance and printed tickets will go out in August. I don't have the button that says "Sell" when I look at my ticket order, so how does anyone else? I believe if tickets were purchased at the box office they could be listed for resale, but I find it hard to believe that that in-person buyers were able to get that many seats. Again, I didn't spend that much time on it but I looked at a few of those fall dates and you often see the same seats available for resale, a weird pattern.

Ticketmaster's terms of use say the site cannot be used for commercial purposes. So if professional brokers are using it, they can absolutely have their orders rescinded.

Remember these dates were put on sale months ago and most of those tickets will be the ones sold then.
Even if scalpers didn't exist all those tickets would have been gone by the next morning.

I didn't actually know that, thanks. Although it makes sense.

Plus, New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman has been on the case, prosecuting ticket brokers operating without a license. Plus, using bots to buy tickets is illegal in NYS, so he's clamping down on that too. Maybe he is getting results.

Also, someone on All That Chat just posted this Ticketmaster cancelled his or her order, after buying eight tickets in January and not hearing a word about it from Ticketmaster since then.

If you read the All the Chat thread, it very well may be that Ticketmaster is cancelling orders that go over the ticket limit, and put them all back in the pool. The individual there said he purchased 8 tickets and his order got cancelled. People wrote back and asked if he purchased any OTHER tickets, as the limit for the entire sale period is 10 tickets total. If this cancellation was because this person purchased other tickets, then it's consistent with what my friend said she heard from the box office -- that TM cancelled a bunch of orders and put them back into the system because they weren't consistent with the terms. As someone who was fortunately able to get tickets at the onsale, I saw the complete mix of seat locations available, so it's consistent with that. I also saw the availability suddenly disappear after there were many dates open -- which is when I assume some scalpers got their act together and had the Bots running. Hopefully if that's the case, these tickets get back into the system for fans....

Wow - that would be a bummer if they were a legitimate ticket purchase and she just wasn't aware that there was a 10-ticket limit. Those tickets, which she bought back in January, are long gone and now her only hope at getting January tickets is to - ironically - buy them from scalpers. That sucks.

Yeah now I'm really worried. The ticket limit used to be 10 in a 14-day period. It still says that if you click on the limit for a show this month. But they changed it so you may only buy 10 tickets for the entire period from November to January. When these went on sale the other night I bought tickets for a bunch of dates because I have a ton of friends who want to see it. I can see this through the website when I click on the ticket limit now, but I bought through the app and didn't see any mention of ticket limits anywhere.
I will understand if they cancel the tickets above the limit but I just hope they don't cancel ALL my tickets in my account--I have 2 tickets next weekend and 4 for Tony Tuesday. It was, after all, an innocent mistake.
Maybe I will call ticketmaster and see if they can selectively cancel enough so I will no longer exceed the limit.
This also tells me we are likely to see more tickets go on sale in batches like this because the ticket limit is not very apparent and I bet I'm not the only one who made this mistake.

I would definitely call them. Better to know ahead of time than to have your tickets go poof!

Ok the ticket limit on the app requires that you scroll all the way down past every ticket option and read the fine print. They really should make it more apparent.

There is a fourteen (14) ticket limit per person per 7 day period.

It changes depending on what date you're looking at. So in order to figure out the ticket limits you have to go to each individual performance and click the ticket limits.

And incidentally, if that had been the limit for this new batch I would've been well well under it for all the tickets I bought.

Now I've been trying and trying to get through and I just keep getting a busy signal. I finally gave up and send them an email with the orders I would like to cancel to get me within the limit. Let's hope they don't screw me on my other tickets.
I Really hate ticketmaster. I wish everyone would use telecharge.

More will be released soon for Feb. 2017 - April 2017. And, if you have an American Express card you can buy them before the general public. (If so, sign up for e-mails from American Express, and watch the Twitter feeds for Hamilton and American Express.)

I looked from 12:10 am to 1:05 am and there were still tickets. Most, if not all, of the standard priced ones were gone. But, there were some for holiday prices ($239) - which starts the Tuesday before Thanksgiving from what I could see. And, there were tickets available for American Express cardholders (for over $200).
There were still a lot of the "Preferred" for $329 available when I looked after midnight! (And, that is cheaper than buying the premiums for $477 each at the box office after waiting in the cancellation line for 12- 24 hours.)
So, reporting on a thread at 10:30 pm that they are all gone, is just wrong.
Maybe the ones you wanted were gone, but there were NOT "all gone".

Here's proof that they weren't "all gone" at 10:30 pm.
Damn! I was looking from 12:10 am to 1:05 am, and I couldn't find any for $199... You are obviously much better than me at this! (I knew not to look in December and around Thanksgiving because they charge $40 more - holiday pricing.) Although, I was looking for 2 seats, and you seem to have only been looking for one seat.
