Could someone please tell me what the Jonathon Groff character does to make his 8 minutes apparently so funny/laugh out loud-he wasn't mentioned in many reviews.
Is it jokes/does he sing a funny song/camp it up? It must be totally worth doing to wait around all night for those 8 minutes.
Genuine question as the only way I will ever see Hamilton-should I live so long-is when it eventually comes to a 'cinema near me'.
Thank you.

New here, please don't bite!
It's almost a disservice to label any character as the villain of the show as they are all presented as multi-dimensions complex characters. To me, there's really no villain or hero in the show and despite Lin-Manuel playing the titular character and being the creator, it really felt like an ensemble show. It seemed like every character had their own standout moment and that every time I declared one character to be my favorite, another would come along and steal the show. I was lucky enough to see it this week and it was everything I hope/wish it would be. The days leading up to seeing it, I was worried I built it up too high but it met all of my expectations. While there are many shows that I have seen or wish to see multiple times, I can't remember the last time I saw a show that I was willing to immediately re-watch the moment it ended. I probably have some recency bias right now but I wouldn't be surprise if 5-10 years later, I still declare Hamilton to be my favorite show.
Groff's character is campy and given mostly comedic material. The character is (mostly) set apart from the rest of the cast in both the staging and the music. I thought his delivery was spot-on and his performance extremely funny. It's quite a memorable performance. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a nod come Tony time, but depending on what happens with the upcoming shows and how the actors get placed in the categories, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Daveed Diggs snag the Tony next year. It's one of those perfect combinations of performer, role, direction and material not unlike Wilson Jermaine Heredia in Rent, Dan Fogler in Spelling Bee or Gary Beach in The Producers. And I am wishing and hoping Goldsberry finally gets a Tony for her mantle. I think she probably would have received it if Two Gentlemen of Verona had transferred to Broadway, so I'm hoping 2016 will be her year. She never fails to wow me.

That's exactly how I felt as well. Even characters with few songs/lines felt just as vital and important as the others due to the writing, direction and performances.

If I remember correctly, there's only 20 or so songs listed in the playbill which makes me think that those are the only 4-7 mins songs and everything else is 2 mins or less.
"34 songs listed"
PRE-ORDER for cast album UP. 46 songs to record in the next month. OKAY I'M GOING BACK TO SLEEP. https://t.co/d8Zh6CYDQ7

I believe HH is referring to the playbill with 34 listed.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS?
The playbill also doesn't list most reprises, especially anything past King George's first song (his next two appearances aren't listed, I'm assuming for surprise purposes? - I was surprised)
Not included in playbill, but on CD:
Aaron Burr, Sir (Before My Shot)
A Winter's Ball (Before Helpless)
The Story of Tonight (Reprise) (After Satisfied)
Meet Me Inside (with Washington and Hamilton after the first duel)
Guns and Ships (don't remember where this goes exactly)
What Comes Next (King George's second song)
Cabinet Battles #1 and #2
I Know Him (Right before Adams Administration - King George's 3rd song?)
We Know (Right before the confrontation by Jefferson of the Reynolds situation)
Stay Alive (Reprise) (Phillip dying)
Best of Wives and Women (right before the duel)

When the highlights first came out a few days ago Broadwayworld posted a video that was longer than ten minutes. I can no longer seem to find this video (I think it had a clip of Helpless in it, on of my favorite songs in the show). Does anyone know where I can find it?

Here's a 9 minute video of clips for CBS Sunday Morning.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Wickedmonkey--I found this on YouTube as a "longer highlight reel", but it's not the 10 minute posted here.
I can't stop watching the Schuyler Sister clip. Everything about it is perfection... especially Ms. Renee Elise Goldsberry.
While the entire cast is energetic and exciting, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Daveed Diggs absolutely stole the show for me.

Thanks, iloveshoes! That's the one I was looking for, too. Why did Broadwayworld take it down, i wonder , and replace it with that crappy clip with the awful "Grease" ad?

It'll be interesting if it can be successful outside of the U.S., I'm sure a West End production will happen in the next couple of years but I don't know if it would do as well as it has done in Broadway
Saw this tonight, from the dreaded "obstructed view" seats - not so bad, except that standing room is right behind you . But anyway, what a wonderful show. I think someone said it best at intermission, "there is just so much theatre happening" - I was so moved! Very glad to see this before it becomes impossible to do so. Excited for this show's success.
That clip of The World Turned Upside Down is crazy overwhelming.
Wow! I was lucky enough to get tickets for 10/3...but I just watched the 10 minute YouTube!! Good Lord! Renee, and the choreography, and the company's energy!! They may as well start giving the Tonys and awards out now...
Interesting article in The New Yorker on the women of Hamilton:

Thanks for posting the link to the longer video, which is hard to find on YouTube with a search. One of my favorite scenes in the show is the Battle of Yorktown, and I particularly love the moment when tailor's apprentice Hercules Mulligan, the "spy on the inside," propels himself from the back of the stage and tells how he's plying his trade as a tailor for the British and smuggling out their secrets. It's a very moving and exciting scene, and I'm so happy to be able to watch it.
Looks like Hamilton will AT LEAST win: Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Scenic Design, Best Orchestrations & Best Lighting. You can never be too sure about the performer categories but I'm sure it will nab some of those as well.
mattporter, as much as I love the show, i would not say for certain that Choreo, Orch and the design awards are dead givens to win with all other shows sight unseen. Also, I would definitely include Direction on any list of presumptive wins. And this would be a very good year to reinstate sound design because the Nevin Steinberg's sound design is really as close to perfect as possible.
