I just wish they hadn't released the tickets so darn late in the evening. If they'd kept the 8 p.m. release time I could have spent more time trying to get tickets. As it was I was up until almost midnight, getting nowhere, and I had to be up at 6 a.m. to go to work.  So I missed out, again.  I sure hope the next block is released at a reasonable hour!

Congrats!!! Just keep your fingers crossed for me when the Chicago block of tickets go on sale! My family wants to come visit me and see the show, and getting ~8 tickets (with multiple buyers) for the same performance is going to be rough.

Is anyone happening to see 2016 seats left? Probably too late but thought I would ask. Got booted off TM about six or seven times with tickets in hand and by the time I saw the amazing tip about seats popping up, TM was down for maintenance. I've been going through dates between September and October but nothing. Thank you!!

Can you imagine what the Hamilton grosses are going to be now that all of these $800+ tickets are going to the production and not scalpers??

For 2016? From what I remember, the new block of tickets were for dates in 2017.

I tried for 45 minutes last night and gave up. I just wanted 1 ticket.  Ticketmaster should have the option of searching for a range of dates, in addition to searching for a specific date.  I would have taken whatever came up.  I've seen it twice, but I bought my tickets before the show opened.  I'll try for the Chicago production next week.  If that doesn't happen so be it.

An amazing person on here discovered that they released some scattered tickets between September-November. Looks like they all got gobbled up!

I wonder if anyone will be successful at the box office today for future dates?

"Anyone else notice that the email said 11:15 but tickets actually went on sale at 11:10 as previously stated?

yes, that "11:15" may have thwarted a lot of people's attempts.  I was online at 11:09, and initiated a search at exactly 11:10, which must be how I was able to get tickets with only a slight delay.

I was on at exactly 11:10 and through the app (which is better in my opinion) I was able to get orchestra row D on the first date of the new block. It took me about 15 minutes to check out because their servers were definitely experiencing high traffic. I'm slightly bummed I didn't think to look at earlier dates. Does anyone know if they're completely gone already?

Yeah, I checked a bunch of those late Sept.- Oct. dates a little while ago and they are all sold out.  Only resale are available.  I was just luck that I was on this board when it was mentioned that the Sept.- Oct. were made available.  Jumped on it about 11:50 and was able to score two tickets for early Oct.  Timing is everything!

I (think I) just sent you a PM -- just letting you know here in case you didn't get the notification or it didn't go through.

I had GREAT tickets in my cart for September 18th around 11:40pm, thanks to the tip here. 2nd row center mezz and as i was 'waiting' to buy them with the 'sit tight..more traffic than usual' message, ticketmaster switched over to automatically assigning seats and then my tickets disappeared. was unable to get back in. so frustrating. ugh, oh well. I also found out something interesting: if you're buying three tickets, and only four are available in a row, Ticketmaster won't let you buy just three of the tickets. I only needed three, but every time I tried to buy them I got a message saying that I had to either leave two tickets next to each other, or buy all four.

That happened to me, too, the first set I tried to purchase....which made me lose my first choice tickets.  I get it, but to have to buy more OR go much further away was barely an option.   Truthfully, I'd HEARD of others saying that had happened to them, but this was the first time I'd experience it.

Yes I had a frustrating 1 hour plus of trying to no avail. I must say I was offered Row F or G of the Rear Mezzanine from the new block for $139 but frankly, having seen the show, I am just not in the market PERIOD for spending 3 figures on back rear mezzanine seats.  Perhaps if I had never before seen it. Not that I am picky---I'd take back or far side orchestra seats  and middle or sides of front mez but I didn't feel like parting with nearly $150 per seat for the back of the back mez.

So I passed...then saw the very helpful tip on checking Sept/Oct. Saw a great pair of way side Orch Row G but by the time I was ready to pay and I thought they were in my cart, I got a "sorry" message...they were gone. Oh well. I'll console myself for now with the memories of the performances I've seen and  relive it through the cast recording.

I don't understand why and how tickets are released---why did suddenly seats appear for Sept/Oct? How many seats are now being held back for mysterious reasons in the "new block"? I wish, along with regulation of bots, there were regulations for producers/promoters to be transparent with what is actually for sale, and when. Nice to know how many tickets we were vying for last night, and how many are still being withheld for whatever purposes (ie might get released for more sudden sales or  find their way to sale through some other even less straightforward means)...

Even though didn't benefit from the 'tip' in the end, I did try hard!  thank you (was it adagio?) for your generous sharing.

I may just keep an eye on the resale tickets, it seems like my best chance to see this show for the next couple of years.  Currently the average scalping price is about $1500, but I'm sure that will fall after the OBC leaves the show. I can't imagine people being willing to pay that much money when Lin, Philippa, and the Tony winners are gone.

I'm not sure how much they will drop, as I've said all along -- I'm not convinced it's the cast themselves that folks want to see.  But we can hope!

This will be my 4th time seeing the show with my kids, spread over almost 2 years.  I think we'll be "done".  LOL...just realized, its about 6 months in between each time.  2x in July & 2x in Feb.   And we'll have sat all over:   Rear mezz/house R; Front Mezz/House L;  Lower Box/L; and front orch.

Just checked a few random dates and saw only three premiums left for a Wednesday matinee in April.

Wow.

these tickets were taken away from people who bought more than what the certain block called for. It's the same thing that happened a month ago with tickets from November to january

Do we think that people are still going to want to spend $1000 on tickets come January? I've not seen it yet (am dying to) but will the show lose some of its appeal between now and January and January to May? I'm reading of people buying 3 or 4 tickets for April but only plan on using a pair and are hoping to sell the extras for $600 a pop or however much come January. That sounds like a bit of a risk to me (as well as shady and unfair). What do you guys think? Will people still want to spend that much in 6 months?

It's shady and unfair to resell? Since when?
